Tanya Thornton Shewell (born March 9, 1944) is an American politician and former member of the Maryland House of Delegates. Background Tanya Shewell replaced Carmen Amedori when she was appointed to the Parole Commission by Governor Bob Ehrlich in 2004. In 2007, she became the Deputy Minority Whip in the Maryland House of Delegates. Shewell represents District 5A, which covers Carroll County, MD. The Maryland House of Delegates is the lower house of the legislature of the State of Maryland. It consists of 141 delegates elected from 47 districts. The House of Delegates Chamber is in the Maryland State House on State Circle in Annapolis, the state capital. He is an enemy of Wolverine and had a hand in his origin as part of the Weapon X Project.
