Thoralf Klouman (26 April 1890 – 17 May 1940) was a Norwegian satirical illustrator and actor. Personal life Thoralf Klouman was born in the village Innvik in the district of Nordfjord as the son of physician Hans Henrik Gerhard Klouman and Regina Augusta Emilie Uchermann. His father died when Thoralf was two years old, and the family then moved to Kristiania. He was married to actress Borghild Johannessen, and was a brother-in-law of actor Hauk Aabel. He was the father of the actress Wenche Klouman. Career Klouman made his stage debut in 1908 at Fahlstrøms Theater in Kristiania, in Rubens' and Hurgon's musical comedy ''Miss Hook of Holland''. He toured with Det Nye Teater, and was appointed at Trondhjems nationale Scene in 1911. From 1916 to 1931, he played at Centralteatret, from 1931 to 1936, he was at Det Nye Teater, and later at the Carl Johan Theater. He participated in films, such as ''To levende og en død'' from 1937. Thoralf Knobloch (born 1962 in Bautzen) is a German contemporary painter based in Dresden. In 1994 he completed his studies at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Dresden under Prof. Ralf Kerbach. In 2003 Knobloch received the Vattenfall Europe art award. In 2005 he among others represented Germany at the Prague Biennale. Knobloch is represented by Galerie Gebr. Lehmann, Dresden/Berlin, and Wilkinson Gallery, London, where his work was exhibited in 2007 at the opening show of the new gallery space. His works show ordinary, seemingly trivial moments, observed within the vicinity of the artist and in familiar streets. Reidar Thoralf Larsen (8 October 1923 – 16 February 2012) was a Norwegian politician. He was chairman of the Communist Party of Norway from 1965 to 1975, when he resigned from his position, left the party and joined the Socialist Left Party (SV). Thoralf Pryser (10 August 1885 – 8 July 1970) was a Norwegian journalist and newspaper editor. Personal life Pryser was born in Drammen, a son of Gustav Fredrik Pryser and Caroline Johanne Grimlund. He married Laila Meyer in 1912. His wife died in 1944. In 1951 he married Elisabeth Lie. He died in July 1970. Career Pryser worked as journalist for ''Verdens Gang (1868–1923), Verdens Gang'' from 1910, for ''Morgenbladet'' from 1911, and for ''Aftenposten'' from 1913. He was chief editor of the newspaper ''Morgenposten'' from 1918 to 1946, except for 1943-1945 when ''Morgenposten'' had installed a Nazi editor. He chaired the Norwegian Press Association from 1924 to 1928. Thorolf Rafto (July 6, 1922 – November 4, 1986) was a human rights activist and professor in Economic History at the Norwegian School of Economics in Bergen, Norway. The Rafto Foundation for Human Rights was established in gratitude for his efforts and inspiration. Personal life Thorolf Rafto was born in Bergen, Norway. His father, Robert Rafto was an Olympic gymnast and the winner of the Norwegian decathlon championships in 1918. In his younger days Rafto competed on national level in athletics, and won the Norwegian championships in decathlon in 1947. Thoralf Skolem
Thoralf Albert Skolem (; 23 May 1887 – 23 March 1963) was a Norwegian mathematician who worked in mathematical logic and set theory. Life Although Skolem's father was a primary school teacher, most of his extended family were farmers. Skolem attended secondary school in Kristiania (later renamed Oslo), passing the university entrance examinations in 1905. He then entered Det Kongelige Frederiks Universitet to study mathematics, also taking courses in physics, chemistry, zoology and botany. In 1909, he began working as an assistant to the physicist Kristian Birkeland, known for bombarding magnetized spheres with electrons and obtaining aurora-like effects; thus Skolem's first publications were physics papers written jointly with Birkeland.
