Thoppil Anto
Thoppil Anto (6 June 1940 – 4 December 2021) was an Indian theater, and playback singer, stage performer and music composer. He was prominent during the 1970s in Malayalam movies. He sang in ''Father Damien'' in (1963), ''Anubhavangale Nandi'' in (1976), ''Sneham Oru Pravaham'' in (1979) and ''Veenapoovu'' in (1982). He served as a light music artist with the All-India Radio Thrissur in the 1960s. Early life Anto was born as the second child among three children to Thoppil Kunjappu (Chavittu natakam artist) and Eliyamma at Edapally, Kochi. He had his primary education at St. George High School, Edappally. Career Anto worked as a playback singer with N. N. Pillai's Nadaka Theater, Vishwa Keralakalasammithi, Kottayam, People's Theater, Kayamkulam and Cochin Samgamithra. He has sung for more than 1000 dramas. Edappally, Kochi
Edappally or Idappalli is a region in the city of Kochi, Kerala, India. It is a major commercial centre as well as a prominent residential region. Vidyadharan
P. S. Vidyadharan (popularly known as Vidyadharan master; Malayalam) is a music composer and playback singer who works in Malayalam cinema. In 2013, he completed 60 years of his musical career. Early life Vidyadharan was born on 6 March 1945 to Sankaran and Thankamma in Arattupuzha, Thrissur, as their eldest son. He has six siblings, the youngest of them being the popular music director and singer Natesh Shankar. Vidyadharan learned classical music from kochakkan Assan(Grand father), Irinjalakkuda Govindankutty Panicker, R Vaidyanatha Bhagavathar, and Sankaranarayana Bhagavathar. To fulfil his desire of becoming a playback singer, he later moved to Chennai. Music director G. Devarajan gave him an opportunity to sing the song "Oh rikshaavaala" in the 1965 film ''Odayil Ninnu''. Based on Devarajan's advice, Vidyadharan returned home to continue his studies. Deepak Devraj Komath (born 30 April 1978), better known as Deepak Dev, is an Indian music composer, best known for his compositions in Malayalam cinema. He started his career in the Film Industry through the movie ''Chronic Bachelor'' (2003) directed by Siddique. Deepak is also a former member of the Kochi based Indian rock band Motherjane. Early years Deepak Dev is a native of Tellicherry in Kerala, and grew up in Dubai. He studied at the Indian High School there and learned Indian Carnatic music since childhood. Later his interest switched mainly to the keyboard. While a graduate student in Sacred Heart College, he was the mastermind behind the college rock band which went on to win the intercollege competition 'Talent Time – Woodstock' award every year. Changampuzha Krishnapillai
Changampuzha Krishna Pillai (Malayalam: ചങ്ങമ്പുഴ കൃഷ്ണപിള്ള; 10 October 1911 – 17 June 1948) was a celebrated Malayalam poet from Kerala, India, known for his elegy '' Ramanan'' (Malayalam: രമണന്) which was written in 1936 and sold over 100,000 copies. It is a long pastoral elegy, a play written in the form of verse, allegedly based on the life of Changampuzha's friend Edappally Raghavan Pillai. It is also adapted into a movie in 1967. He is credited with bringing poetry to the masses with his simple romantic style. He died of tuberculosis aged 36. His style influenced the next few generations of Malayalam poetry, notable among them was Vayalar Ramavarma, famous Malayalam lyricist.
