Tom Ryan (Toomevara Hurler)
Thomas J. Ryan (1941 - 17 March 1970) was an Irish hurler. At club level he played with Toomevara and was also a member of the Tipperary senior hurling team. Career Ryan first played hurling at juvenile and underage level with the Toomevara club. He eventually progressed onto the club's senior team and won three successive North Tipperary SHC titles as well as a Tipperary SHC title in 1960. Ryan first appeared on the inter-county scene during a two-year tenure with the Tipperary minor hurling team. He ended his underage career by winning an All-Ireland MHC medal after a one-point win over Kilkenny in the 1959 All-Ireland minor final. Ryan joined the senior team training panel in 1961. He won his first All-Ireland SHC medal after coming on as a substitute for Jimmy Doyle in the 1962 All-Ireland final defeat of Wexford. Thomas Ryan (born April 23, 1987 in Salem, Oregon) is an American soccer player. Career Youth and College Ryan played two years of college soccer at Linfield College in his native Oregon, before transferring to Azusa Pacific University as a junior in 2007, the same year Azusa Pacific University won the NAIA National Championship. Professional Undrafted out of college, Ryan entered preseason with the Portland Timbers of the USL First Division and later signed with the Portland Timbers U23s in the USL Premier Development League in 2009, featuring in seven games. Tommy Ryan (Gaelic Footballer)
Tommy Ryan(born 1967) is an Irish former Gaelic footballer. Born in Termon, Donegal, he attended St Eunan's College. Termon has a small club, near Letterkenny, but had only been competing at junior level shortly before Ryan was picked for Donegal. Ryan was part of the team that won the 1987 All-Ireland Under-21 Football Championship. He made his championship debut against Armagh in 1988. He won an Ulster MFC in 1985, an Ulster and All-Ireland Under-21 in 1987, and an Ulster SFC and All-Ireland SFC in 1992. He returned from the U.S. in 1990 and played against Armagh in the 1990 Ulster Senior Football Championship final, won by Donegal, scoring 0–1 (and — seemingly — a first-half goal, ruled out when referee Damien Campbell pulled play back). Tommy Ryan (born 1930) is an Australian former rugby league footballer. A prolific try scorer, Ryan became a dual premiership winning player with the St. George Dragons and also represented Australia. Career Originally from Inverell, New South Wales, Ryan began his first grade career with St. George Dragons in 1951. By 1953, he represented New South Wales against the American 'All Stars' and was also picked for the Kangaroo tour. Tommy Ryan scored 24 tries in 20 matches whilst on tour with the 1952/53 Kangaroos and played in four test matches. He is listed on the ''Australian Players Register'' as Kangaroo No. 299. Vanderbilt University Ryan was a prominent end and fullback and punter for Dan McGugin's Vanderbilt Commodores football team of the Vanderbilt University from 1920 to 1921 and 1923 to 1924. Jeremiah "Tommy" Ryan (12 August 1873 – 29 August 1948) was an Australian rules footballer who played for the Melbourne Football Club and St Kilda Football Club in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Ryan, a rover and forward, came to Melbourne from Richmond City. He had spent 1893, 1895 and 1896 playing in the Victorian Football Association (VFA) for both Carlton and Richmond.
