Thomas Rathsack
Thomas Rathsack is a lecturer and former member of the Danish Jaeger Corps. He served with the Royal Life Guards as a sergeant before getting accepted into the Jaeger Corps in 1990. After retiring from the army he worked as a photographer and IT specialist. He reenlisted after the September 11 attacks. He writes about his experiences in Iraq and Afghanistan in his book '' Jæger – i krig med eliten'' (Jaeger: At War with Denmark's Elite Special Forces), which was widely talked about and criticized. In 2017, he featured in a TV2-produced show which put 30 men through Jaegor Corps-like physical tests. Royal Danish Army
The Royal Danish Army ( da, Hæren, fo, Herurin, kl, Sakkutuut) is the land-based branch of the Danish Defence, together with the Danish Home Guard. For the last decade, the Royal Danish Army has undergone a massive transformation of structures, equipment and training methods, abandoning its traditional role of anti-invasion defence, and instead focusing on out of area operations by, among other initiatives, reducing the size of the conscripted and reserve components and increasing the active (standing army) component, changing from 60% support structure and 40% operational capability, to 60% combat operational capability and 40% support structure. The Jaeger Corps also known as the Huntsmen Corps ( da, Jægerkorpset) is an elite special operations force of the Danish Defence part of Special Operations Command (Denmark), Special Operations Command, formerly of the Royal Danish Army, based at Aalborg Air Base. Royal Life Guards (Denmark)
The Royal Life Guards ( da, Den Kongelige Livgarde) is a mechanized infantry regiment of the Danish Army, founded in 1658 by King Frederik III. The primary task is to provide a number of soldiers from the Guard Company to serve as a guard/ceremonial unit to the Danish monarchy, while training the Royal Guards for various functions in the mobilisation force. Until its disbandment, the Royal Horse Guards ( da, Livgarden til Hest), served the role as the mounted guard/ceremonial unit, afterwards the role was taken over by Guard Hussar Regiment Mounted Squadron. TV 2 (''TV to'') is a Danish government-owned broadcast and subscription television station in Denmark based in Odense, Funen. History Since 1949, Danmarks Radio had been the sole provider of television in Denmark.
