Thomas L. Rhodes
Thomas Llewellyn "Dusty" Rhodes (né Mathews; July 15, 1939 – March 7, 2018) was an American political activist. He was a co-founder of The Club for Growth and had been the president of ''National Review'' magazine until he resigned on June 30, 2010. Early life and career Rhodes was born in 1939 in New York, and grew up in Spanish Harlem, the son of Welsh immigrant laborers. He received his masters from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School. He worked at Goldman Sachs from 1974 to 1992. Rhodes was co-founder of Change New York and was a chief adviser of George Pataki, former governor of New York State. Rhodes held several posts at Goldman, Sachs & Company in New York City. He joined Goldman Sachs in 1974 and subsequently served as vice president (1977–1982); vice chairman, Goldman Sachs Limited, London, England (1982–1985); and partner (1986–1992). Parkinson's Disease
Parkinson's disease (PD), or simply Parkinson's, is a long-term degenerative disorder of the central nervous system that mainly affects the motor system. The symptoms usually emerge slowly, and as the disease worsens, non-motor symptoms become more common. The most obvious early symptoms are tremor, rigidity, slowness of movement, and difficulty with walking. Cognitive and behavioral problems may also occur with depression, anxiety, and apathy occurring in many people with PD. Parkinson's disease dementia becomes common in the advanced stages of the disease. Those with Parkinson's can also have problems with their sleep and sensory systems. The motor symptoms of the disease result from the death of cells in the substantia nigra, a region of the midbrain, leading to a dopamine deficit.
