Thomas Fontaine
Thomas Fontaine (born 8 May 1991) is a professional footballer who plays as a defender for TFF First League club Gençlerbirliği. Born in the French region of Réunion, Fontaine represents the Madagascar national team internationally. Club career Fontaine made his professional debut on 30 July 2012, coming on as a substitute for Yacoub Meite in the 4–0 defeat to Monaco. On 29 January 2022, Fontaine signed with Nancy. After a brief spell with Beroe in Bulgaria, Fontaine joined TFF First League club Gençlerbirliği on a one-and-a-half-year deal on 10 January 2023. International career Fontaine represented the France U21 national team at the 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup. Saint-Pierre, Réunion
Saint-Pierre (; rcf, label= Reunionese Creole, Sin-Pyè) is the third-largest commune in the French overseas department and region of Réunion. Located on the southwest side of the island, it is the capital of the French Southern and Antarctic Lands. The TFF 1. Lig, officially known as Spor Toto 1. Lig for sponsorship reasons, is the second level of the Turkish football league system. The league was founded in 2001 as the ''Turkish Second League Category A'' after the reorganization of the Second Football League, which was the second level of the Turkish league system between 1963 and 2001. The league was called ''Türk Telekom Lig A'' in the 2006–2007 season, and was renamed to ''TFF First League'' prior to the 2007–08 season. As of 16 January 2008 the league was renamed as Bank Asya 1. Teams There were three promoted teams from Championnat National, replacing the three teams that were promoted to Ligue 1 following the 2013–14 season. The French football league system is a series of interconnected leagues for club football in France and Monaco, and includes one Spanish side. At the top two levels of the system is the Ligue de Football Professionnel, which consists of two professional national divisions, Ligue 1 and Ligue 2. The Coupe de la Ligue (), known outside France as the French League Cup, was a Single-elimination tournament, knockout cup competition in Football in France, French football organized by the Ligue de Football Professionnel. The Coupe de France, formerly known as the Coupe Charles Simon, is the premier knockout cup competition in French football organized by the French Football Federation (FFF). It was first held in 1917 and is open to all amateur and professional football clubs in France, including clubs based in the overseas departments and territories.
