Thomas Doyle (Australian Politician)
Thomas Patrick Doyle (17 February 1885 – 18 March 1951) was an Australian politician. He was born in Chippendale to engine driver Thomas Doyle and his wife Catherine. He attended local Catholic schools and became an ironworker; he also served in the Boer War. Around 1902 he married Mildred Conroy, with whom he had five children. He was secretary of the United Labourers Union from 1921 to 1930 and was also active in the Ironworkers Union. From 1925 to 1934 he was a Labor member of the New South Wales Legislative Council. Thomas Mershon Doyle (1932 – December 9, 2007) was a businessperson and politician in Newfoundland. He represented Ferryland in the Newfoundland House of Assembly from 1971 to 1975 as a Progressive Conservative. The son of Gerald S. Doyle and Marjorie Mershon, he was born in St. John's and was educated at Saint Bonaventure's College and St. Michael's College, going on to study business marketing in Great Britain. Doyle joined the family business in 1954, becoming director and vice-president of marketing by 1971. Thomas Francis Doyle (1893–1968) was a member of the New Zealand Legislative Council from 1936 to 1950. Biography Doyle was born in 1893. He was Mayor of Bluff for 14 years. He stood for the Labour Party in the in the electorate and came second to James Hargest. Doyle was a member of the Legislative Council from 9 March 1936 to 8 March 1943, and then 9 March 1943 to 8 March 1950. He was appointed by the First Labour Government. In 1944, he was appointed to the inaugural Invercargill Licensing Trust board. Following the abolition of the Legislative Council he stood again for the House of Representatives in the in the electorate where he raised the Labour vote, but finished runner-up to Ralph Hanan. Thomas Doyle (born 29 June 1999) is an English rugby league footballer who plays as a for the Wakefield Trinity in Betfred Championship. He previously played for Bradford Bulls and Keighley Cougars. Background Doyle was born in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England. He played as an amateur for both Milford ARLFC and Stanningley ARLFC. He was then brought up in the youth system at the Bulls via the Bradford Bulls Academy. Playing career Bradford Bulls Doyle first appearance was in 2018 against Dewsbury Rams in pre-season friendly but he did not make his first-class debut until 2019 when he played in the Championship match against Rochdale Hornets, marking his debut with two tries. Thomas Joseph Doyle (born 30 June 1992) is a New Zealand international footballer who currently plays as a left back for Bay Olympic in the Northern League. Doyle made his senior professional debut for Wellington Phoenix FC in the 2014 FFA Cup against Adelaide United at the Marden Sports Complex on 5 August 2014. Thomas Joseph Doyle (born 9 June 1944) is an Irish former rugby union international. Doyle, born in Castleisland, County Kerry, is the younger brother of Ireland player Mick Doyle. A flanker, Doyle played for Dublin club Wanderers and was capped three times for Ireland in the 1968 Five Nations Championship. Thomas Nelson Doyle (born May 1, 1996) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Atlanta Braves organization. He made his MLB debut in 2020. Amateur career Doyle attended Flint Hill School in Oakton, Virginia. He was drafted by the Washington Nationals in the 35th round of the 2014 Major League Baseball draft, but did not sign and played college baseball at the University of Virginia.
