Sir Thomas Burdett, 1st Baronet, Of Bramcote
Sir Thomas Burdett, 1st Baronet (3 August 1585 – ca. 1647) was an English Sheriff and baronet. Burdett was born on 3 August 1585, the son of Robert Burdett and Mary Wilson. He married Jane Francis, daughter of William Francis and Elizabeth Francis, in 1602. He matriculated at Balliol College, Oxford on 6 May 1603. He held the office of High Sheriff of Derbyshire from 1610 to 1611. He was created 1st Baronet Burdett, of Bramcote, Warwickshire on 25 February 1619. Burdett died aged 61 circa 1647. He was buried at Repton, Derbyshire. Sir Thomas Burdett, 1st Baronet, Of Dunmore
Sir Thomas Burdett, 1st Baronet (14 September 1668 – 14 April 1727) was an Irish politician and baronet. Born at Garrahill in County Carlow, he was the son of Thomas Burdett and his wife Catherine Kennedy, daughter of Sir Robert Kennedy, 1st Baronet. Burdett was educated at Kilkenny College and Trinity College Dublin and served as High Sheriff of Carlow in 1701. Burdett entered the Irish House of Commons in 1704, sitting for County Carlow to 1713. Subsequently, he was Member of Parliament (MP) for the borough of Carlow until 1715 and then again for County Carlow until his death in 1727.
