Thomas Barnett (musician)
Thomas Barnett (born March 3, 1973) is an American singer-songwriter born in Richmond, Virginia. He is best known for being the singer for the melodic hardcore band Strike Anywhere. Barnett has been the vocalist and lyricist for the band since its formation in 1999. He was also the vocalist and primary lyricist for the band Inquisition until its disbanding in 1996. Inquisition reformed for a three show reunion event in May 2007. Strike Anywhere plays about twenty five shows a year between Europe and the United States-special events, benefit shows and festivals mostly-and remains an active band despite slowing down its recording and touring schedule. Thomas also formed a melodic hardcore project based on the West Coast called Great Collapse with ex-members of Rise Against and Set Your Goals among others. Thomas Speakman Barnett
Thomas Speakman Barnett (September 3, 1909 – June 5, 2003) was a politician born in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada. He attended schools in Alberta and British Columbia, and earned a degree at the University of British Columbia. He married Ruth Evelyn Pidcock on July 1, 1942. He worked in saw mills, as editor of the Wells Chronicle ( Wells, BC), and was active in trade union affairs. Barnett was a member of the United Church of Canada. He did missionary work as a student. Barnett was manager of the Alberni and District Co-op, the first employee of the Alberni and District Credit Union and a long-serving executive member of the Industrial, Wood and Allied Workers of Canada (IWA), Local 1-85. In the 1930s he served as a school trustee in Wells, BC. He also served as an alderman in the former Alberni, British Columbia, (now part of Port Alberni) from 1959 until 1962. Thomas Barnett (Niagara Falls)
Thomas Barnett (December 4, 1799 – 1890) was a museum proprietor, collector and innkeeper who managed museums and other tourist attractions in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Barnett was born near Birmingham, England and moved to Canada in the 1820s. Establishment Barnett is credited for having built the first substantial building in the area now known as 'The Front' at Niagara Falls, Canada. He also erected a museum in 1827 near the edge of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls. This was followed by the construction of a second, more elaborate museum in the early 1840s at another location. It was at this museum that he boasted over "5,000 specimens on display", per an undated report: Competition Barnett faced stiff competition from Buffalo native, Saul Davis for over 30 years from 1844 to 1877. Thomas Andrew Barnett (11 November 1908 – 9 July 1986), was an English professional association footballer, who played as an inside forward. During his career he was contracted to Manchester United, but never played for them. He is best remembered for his time at Watford, where he played 395 Football League games, scoring 144 goals; only Luther Blissett has scored more. At the time, he set the record for the most peacetime Watford appearances, which stood until Duncan Welbourne overtook him 35 years later. Following his retirement from football, Barnett worked as a masseur for Wembley Lions ice hockey team, and continued to support Watford as a season-ticket holder.
