Thomas Albert Jennings
Thomas Albert Jennings (January 8, 1865 – March 16, 1917) was an American politician. Biography Jennings was born on January 8, 1865 Jennings, Florida. He attended Emory College. He was president of the Bank of Jennings and moved to Pensacola, Florida and ran the Jennings Naval Stores Company. Jennings was a delegate to the Democratic National Convention in 1888, 1892, 1908 and 1912 and an elector in 1904. He was chair of the Pensacola Board of Public Works in 1909. In 1910, he was elected to represent Escambia County, Florida in the Florida House of Representatives and was Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives The speaker is the presiding member of the Florida House of Representatives. Jennings is a town in Hamilton County, Florida, United States. The population was 878 at the 2010 census, up from 833 at the 2000 census. Geography Jennings is located in northwestern Hamilton County at (30.6041015, -83.0979184). U.S. Route 41 passes through the town as Plum Street, leading southeast to Jasper, the county seat, and northwest to Lake Park, Georgia. Interstate 75 runs along the southwest border of the town, with access from Exit 467 (Hamilton Avenue).
