Thomas A. Rymer
Thomas A. Rymer (February 10, 1925 – April 15, 2016) was an American politician and judge. He served in the Maryland House of Delegates, representing Calvert County from 1971 to 1974, District 30A from 1975 to 1982 and District 29A from 1983 to 1988. Rymer also served as judge of the Calvert County Circuit Court from 1987 to 1995 and as state's attorney of Calvert County from 1966 to 1970. Early life Thomas Arrington Rymer was born on February 10, 1925, in Asheville, North Carolina. Rymer and his family moved to Washington, D.C., in 1939. He attended Western High School in Washington, D.C. Rymer then attended the University of Maryland and joined the V-12 Navy College Training Program. Rymer graduated from Cornell University in 1948 with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering. He then graduated from George Washington University Law School with a J.D. in 1955. Maryland House of Delegates District 29A is one of the 67 districts that compose the Maryland House of Delegates. Along with subdistricts 29B and 29C, it makes up the 29th district of the Maryland Senate. District 29A includes part of St. Mary's County, and is represented by one delegate. The Duke Ellington School of the Arts (established 1974) is a high school located at 35th Street and R Street, Northwest, Washington, D.C., and dedicated to arts education. William Donald Schaefer
William Donald Schaefer (November 2, 1921 – April 18, 2011) was an American politician who served in public office for 50 years at both the state and local level in Maryland. As a Democrat, he was the 45th mayor of Baltimore from December 1971 to January 1987, the 58th Governor of Maryland from January 21, 1987, to January 18, 1995, and the 32nd Comptroller of Maryland from January 20, 1999, to January 17, 2007. North Beach is a town in Calvert County, Maryland, United States. The population was 1,978 at the 2010 U.S. Census.
