''This Week in Palestine'' is a monthly magazine that covers cultural, social, and political issues in Palestine. It is published by Sani Meo and has been in regular print since December 1998. Its self-imposed mandate is to promote and document Palestine. For their March 2018 issue in honor of International Women's Day they partnered with UN Women to publish four articles concerning the advancement of human rights for rural girls and women, implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Palestine and sought to improve gender equality Gender equality, also known as sexual equality or equality of the sexes, is the state of equal ease of access to resources and opportunities regardless of gender, including economic participation and decision-making; and the state of valuing d ... by raising awareness to encourage greater participation from men. International Women's Day
International Women's Day (IWD) is a global holiday celebrated annually on March 8 as a focal point in the women's rights movement, bringing attention to issues such as gender equality, reproductive rights, and violence and abuse against women. UN Women
The United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, also known as UN Women, is a United Nations entity working for gender equality and the empowerment of women. UN Women advocates for the rights of women and girls, and focuses on a wide array of issues, including violence against women and violence against LGBTIQ+ people. Gender Equality
Gender equality, also known as sexual equality or equality of the sexes, is the state of equal ease of access to resources and opportunities regardless of gender, including economic participation and decision-making; and the state of valuing different behaviors, aspirations and needs equally, regardless of gender.
