"This Love" is a dance-rock song written by Toby Gad and at that time-unknown pop singer Kesha, produced by Gad for The Veronicas' second album, ''Hook Me Up'' (2007). It was released as the album's third single in Australia as a digital download on 30 March 2008 and CD single 14 April 2008. Its lyrics describe a long distance relationship, and how they won't give up on the relationship and love while they're apart from each other. The song became a top ten hit in Australia and top twenty hit in New Zealand, peaking at number ten and fourteen respectively. The Veronicas is an Australian pop duo from Brisbane. The group was formed in 2004 by identical twin sisters Lisa and Jessica Origliasso. In 2005, the Veronicas released their debut studio album, titled '' The Secret Life of...'', which peaked at number two on the Australian Album Chart and was certified 4× platinum by Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) for selling over 280,000 copies. Dean Stanley Geyer (born 20 March 1986) is a South African Australian singer-songwriter, actor and martial artist who finished third in the 2006 season of the talent show television series ''Australian Idol'', and has had a notable role in the Australian soap opera ''Neighbours'' as Ty Harper.
