This Life (Take That Album)
''This Life'' is the ninth studio album by English pop band Take That, released on 24 November 2023 as their label debut on EMI. It marks their first studio album in six years since 2017's ''Wonderland''. The album debuted atop the UK Albums Chart and earned the biggest first-week sales for a British act in 2023. Background ''This Life'' was announced on 22 September 2023, along with the release of its lead single " Windows" and an announcement of an ensuing tour. The announcement was made on The Radio 2 Breakfast Show with the debut of "Windows". Gary Barlow said of the album, "We made most of the album in Savannah in Georgia, so it had that mericanSouth sort of influence to it, and it's strange how an environment actually comes out in the music as well." Take That
Take That are an English pop group formed in Manchester in 1990. The group currently consists of Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen. The original line-up also featured Jason Orange and Robbie Williams. Barlow is the group's lead singer and primary songwriter, with Owen and Williams initially providing backing vocals and Donald and Orange serving primarily as dancers. The group have had 28 top-40 singles and 17 top-5 singles on the UK Singles Chart, 12 of which have reached number one, including " Back for Good", " Never Forget", "Patience" and " Greatest Day". ''The Radio 2 Breakfast Show'' refers to a range of programming on weekday mornings on BBC Radio 2 since the station's inception on 30 September 1967. The show's longest serving host to date was Sir Terry Wogan, who worked on the programme for 28 years in 2 separate stints, from 3 April 1972 until 28 December 1984, and again from 4 January 1993 until 18 December 2009. Koko (music Venue)
KOKO (previously called The Music Machine and Camden Palace) is a concert venue and former theatre in Camden Town, London, England. The building was known as Camden Palace from 1982 until its 2004 purchase and extensive restoration, led by Oliver Bengough and Mint Entertainment. Since, the club has been known as KOKO and is one of the premier live music venues in London. On the evening of 6 January 2020, a large fire broke out in the building. History 1900–1945: Theatre and cinema The Camden Theatre opened on Boxing Day 1900. With a capacity of 2,434 it was one of the largest theatres in London outside the West End. "Patience" is a song by British boy band Take That. It was released on 13 November 2006 as the first single from their comeback album, '' Beautiful World''. The single peaked at the top of the UK Singles Chart, and also topped the charts in Germany, Spain and Switzerland, as well as peaking in the top ten of the charts in Denmark, Ireland, Italy, Austria and Sweden. Chart performance "Patience" debuted at number four on the UK Singles Chart and rose to number one in its second week, staying there for four weeks. It was the UK's eighth best-selling single of 2006 and spent eleven weeks in the top ten, making it the longest that any Take That single had spent in the top ten until the release of 2007's " Rule the World". Jamie Norton
Jamie Norton is a British musician and songwriter performing under the moniker of Fougère since 2020. He has written songs with Take That including the 2009 hit ''Hold Up a Light''. In April 2019, Norton and Take That's Mark Owen released a stripped-back version of ''Hold Up a Light'' in aid of the Salisbury Hospice Charity. The reworked single was a fundraising tribute to the hospice that had cared for Norton's mother the previous April and featured pupils from Grasmere Primary in North London including Norton's sons Ned and Miller. Mamas Gun is a British Soul/Pop band. It found early international success with a radio friendly soul pop sound. Shawn Lee (born 1963) is an American musician, producer, composer and multi-instrumentalist who currently lives in London, England. Howard Paul Donald (born 28 April 1968) is an English singer, songwriter, drummer, pianist, dancer and record producer. He is a member of English pop-group Take That. Donald was also judge on the German reality talent show ''Got to Dance'' from 2013 to 2014, during a Take That-hiatus. Early life Donald was educated at Littlemoss High School in Droylsden, gaining no GCSEs, and trained for three years as a vehicle painter, on the Youth Training Scheme (YTS).
