	Thiruthangal Thiruthangal is a neighbourhood of Sivakasi City, India.Thiruthangal is one of the Zones of Sivakasi City Municipal Corporation. Ninra Narayana Perumal temple, one among the 108 Divya Desams, Vishnu temples revered by saint poets, Alwars of 6th–9th century is located in Thiruthangal. The place is also famous for Karunellinathar temple, located adjacent to Ninra Narayana Temple. Thiruthangal is 2 kilometres far from the heart of Sivakasi city which is known for its printing, match-works and fireworks industries. Thiruthangal is well connected by bus and train and can be reached by air via Madurai. As of 2011, the town had a population of 55,362.Thiruthangal got integrated with Sivakasi on 31st December 2020. picture info	Ninra Narayana Perumal Temple Ninra Narayana Perumal Temple (also called Nindra Narayana Perumal temple) or Thiruthankaal in Thiruthangal, a town in the outskirts of Sivakasi in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu, is dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu. Constructed in the Dravidian style of architecture, the temple is glorified in the ''Divya Prabandha'', the early medieval Tamil canon of the Alvar saints from the 6th–9th centuries AD. It is one of the 108 ''Divya Desam'' dedicated to Vishnu, who is worshipped as Ninra Narayana and his consort Lakshmi as Arunakamala Mahadevi. The temple in its present form was believed to have been built by Devendra Vallabha, a Pandya king. The temple has three inscriptions in its two rock-cut caves, two dating from the period of 8th century. picture info	Karunellinathar Temple Karunellinathar temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva, located in Thiruthangal, a town in the outskirts of Sivakasi, a in Tamil Nadu, India. Shiva is worshiped as Karunellinathar, and is represented by the ''lingam'' and his consort Parvati is depicted as Chokki Amman. It is built on a hillock and houses a small gateway tower known as ''gopurams''. The temple is a rock cut temple and has many shrines, with those of Karunellinathar and Chokki Amman being the most prominent. The temple is located on the other side of Ninra Narayana Perumal temple, a famous Vishnu temple and can be reached from that temple on the hillock. The temple is believed to have been built by Gurukalathirayan during the Pandyan regime in 1233 CE. The temple has four daily rituals at various times from 6:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., and four yearly festivals on its calendar.
