Thirumoorthy
''Thirumoorthy'' is a 1995 Indian Tamil-language action film written and directed by Pavithran. The film stars Vijayakanth and Ravali, with Anandaraj, Rajan P. Dev, Manorama, Shenbagam, Senthil and Janagaraj playing supporting roles. It was released on 11 May 1995 and emerged a box office hit. Plot Moorthy is a lorry driver, who lives with his mother Ram Aatha and often confronts the criminal Govindan. Moorthy and Uma fall in love with each other. One day, her father has a heart attack, when Moorthy and Uma rush him to the hospital, the roads are blocked by a local political party. Her father dies; an enraged Moorthy clashes with the political party leader Sigamani in public. Later, Govindan joins his party and stands in the election as well as Moorthy. In the meantime, Moorthy and Uma get married. The corrupt politician Sigamani orders to kill Govindan and blames the innocent Moorthy. What transpires later forms the crux of the story. Tiruchirapalli Srinivasan Rangarajan, professionally credited by his pseudonym Vaali (born 29 October 1931 – 18 July 2013) was an Indian poet who is the highest songs wrote lyricist in cinema and whose works were in Tamil, had a five-decade long association with the Tamil film industry, wrote over 15,000 songs. Chelladurai (1941 - 7 February 2015) was an Indian comedian who worked in Tamil-language films. He acted in over 350 films. Career Chelladurai made his film debut with ''Thooral Ninnu Pochchu'' (1982). He is known for his comic sequences with actor Vadivelu. He became famous for his role in '' Shree'' (2002) as the owner of a wine shop named Prabha. In the scene, Marimuthu (Vadivelu) calls the owner and asks when the shop will open. The owner tells him that the store closed. Vadivelu drinks alcohol and repeatedly disturbs the shop owner during the night. Death Chelladurai was admitted to Keezhpakkam Government Hospital in Chennai due to kidney issues on 8 February after having problems for several months.
