''Third Degree'' is the third studio album by the American supergroup Flying Colors, released on October 4, 2019 via Mascot Label Group. The album was released on digital platforms and also on CD digipack, a limited-edition double-LP, a 180g blue or black vinyl and a limited-edition box set with bonus content such as a 40-page photobook, two coasters and a bonus disc with six bonus songs. ''Third Degree'''s first single and video, "More", was released as the band revealed the album's title, cover and tracklist. The second single, "You Are Not Alone", was released on August 28, 2019. The third, pop rock single "Love Letter", was released on September 12 and the final single, "The Loss Inside", about the process of grieving, had its video premiered on September 30, 2019. Steve Morse
Steve J. Morse (born July 28, 1954) is an American guitarist, best known as the founder of the Dixie Dregs and as the lead guitarist of Deep Purple from 1994 to 2022. Morse has also enjoyed a successful solo career and was briefly a member of the group Kansas in the mid-1980s. Most recently, Morse became a member of the supergroup Flying Colors. Biography Early life Steve Morse was born in Hamilton, Ohio. His family soon moved to Tennessee and then to Ypsilanti, Michigan, where Morse spent his childhood. Although familiar with piano and clarinet, Morse ultimately became a guitarist. Morse worked briefly with his older brother Dave in a band called the Plague until the family moved to Augusta, Georgia. Dave LaRue
Dave LaRue is an American bassist who has performed with the Dixie Dregs since 1988 and with the Steve Morse Band since 1989. He also has worked with Dream Theater's John Petrucci, Mike Portnoy, Derek Sherinian and Jordan Rudess. He plays Music Man bass guitars, among them the "Sterling" and "StingRay 5 five-string" but has mainly switched to their "Bongo" line (which he was instrumental in helping develop) including four- and five-string fretted and fretless models. From March 2006 to September 2006, he toured with Joe Satriani on the Super Colossal tour. Chris Carmichael is a musician and arranger born in San Antonio, Texas on July 6, 1962. The son of an Air Force fighter pilot, he moved extensively before taking up the violin while living in Hampton, Virginia.
