Thinking Schools Academy Trust
The Thinking Schools Academy Trust is a multi-academy trust serving a family of schools mainly in the Medway authority. The Trust bases its philosophy on the work of Bob Burden and the University of Exeter Postgraduate School of Education. The schools teaching and learning is based on cognitive development and sees its duty as teaching children how to think rather than memorising content. Academy schools are state-funded schools in England which are directly funded by the Department for Education and independent of local authority control. Philosophy For Children
Philosophy for Children, sometimes abbreviated to P4C, is a movement that aims to teach reasoning and argumentative skills to children. There are also related methods sometimes called "''Philosophy for Young People''" or "''Philosophy for Kids''". The Victory Academy
The Victory Academy (formerly Bishop of Rochester Academy and Medway Community College) is a mixed secondary school and sixth form located in Chatham in the English county of Kent. History Bishop of Rochesters Academy was formed in 2010 with the merging of Medway Community College or MCC, with Chatham South. The Rochester Grammar School
Rochester Grammar School (known as Rochester Grammar School for Girls until 2006) often abbreviated to RGS is a grammar school for the education of girls between the ages of 11 and 18. Holcombe Grammar School (formerly Chatham Grammar School for Boys) is a grammar school with academy status in Chatham, Kent, England. It is a selective school. SMART Criteria
S.M.A.R.T. is a mnemonic acronym, giving criteria to guide in the Goal setting, setting of goals and objectives that are assumed to give better results, for example in project management, employee-performance management and personal development. The term was first proposed by George T. Doran in the November 1981 issue of ''Management Review''. He suggested that goals should be SMART (specific, measurable, assignable, realistic and time-related).
