Thimiru
''Thimiru'' () is a 2006 Indian Tamil-language action film written and directed by debutant Tarun Gopi. It stars Vishal, Reema Sen and Sriya Reddy in lead and former football player I. M. Vijayan, Manoj K. Jayan and Vadivelu in supporting roles, whilst Kiran Rathod appears in an item number. The film's score and soundtrack are composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Produced by Vikram Krishna, under the banner of G K Film Corporation, it was released on 4 August 2006. ''Thimiru'' became highly successful at the box office and one of the top-grossing Tamil films in 2006. The film was also praised for Sriya Reddy's performance and Vadivelu's comedy. The film also has been dubbed in Telugu as ''Pogaru''. It was later remade by director Vishal Raj in Kannada as ''Minchu'' but failed to repeat the success of its original version. Tarun Gopi
Tarun Gopi (born 10 April) is an Indian film director, scriptwriter and film producer. His first film as director was ''Thimiru'' (2006), which became one of the year's top-grossing Tamil films. He later ventured into acting roles, but has since prioritised his work as an actor below directorial duties. Career Tarun Gopi was born in Gudalur, in the Theni District of Tamil Nadu and was brought up in Madurai. Vishal Krishna Reddy (born 29 August 1977), also known as Vishal, is an Indian actor and film producer from Tamil cinema. The younger son of film producer G. K. Reddy, Vishal studied Visual Communications at Loyola College, Chennai. Best known for his roles in action films, he produces films under his production company, Vishal Film Factory. Vishal made an entrance into the film industry as an assistant director for Arjun. Reema Sen (born 29 October 1981) is an Indian actress and model who primarily appeared in Bengali theatre films, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi films. Yuvan Shankar Raja
Yuvan Shankar Raja or Abdul Haliq (born 31 August 1979) is an Indian film score and soundtrack composer and singer-songwriter. He mainly scores music for Tamil films. Considered a versatile composer, he is particularly known for his use of Western music elements and often credited with having introduced hip hop to the Tamil film and music industry and started the "era of remixes" in Tamil Nadu. Manikka Vinayagam (10 December 1943 – 26 December 2021) was an Indian playback singer and actor. He sang for South Indian language films and acted in several Tamil films as a character artist. He was the son of the dancer Vazhuvoor B. Ramiah Pillai. His uncle and music guru was the singer C. S. Jayaraman.
