Detective chief inspector Frank Thiel and forensic medical examiner Dr. Karl Friedrich Boerne are the lead protagonists of the German television series, ''Tatort Münster''. The fictitious detectives are portrayed by actors Axel Prahl and Jan Josef Liefers, respectively. This humorous police procedural series has been airing since 2002 and is produced for the German television channel WDR. Two episodes are produced each year and on November 25, 2012, the tenth anniversary of the show was celebrated with the episode "Das Wunder von Wolbeck" (German for "The Wonder of Wolbeck"). Axel Prahl
Axel Prahl (born 26 March 1960 in Eutin) is a German actor and musician. Prahl, born in Eutin, grew up in nearby Neustadt in Holstein. After his A-levels, Prahl started studying music and mathematics, but then went on to acting school in Kiel. His acting debut came in 1994 in a television series for ZDF. Aside from his film acting, for which he has won several accolades including two Adolf Grimme Awards, Prahl has starred in 23 episodes of the German television crime series ''Tatort''. Prahl also co-starred in the 2009 German TV film ''12 Winter'' with Jürgen Vogel. The cine films ''Nightshapes'' (1999) and ''Grill Point'' (2002) marked the start of a continuous successful cooperation with director Andreas Dresen which harvested some renown awards. Aside of being a popular actor he started as a sideline a music career, releasing three albums (2011, 2013 and 2018) as a singer-songwriter and bandleader. Usedom (german: Usedom , pl, Uznam ) is a Baltic Sea island in Pomerania, divided between Germany and Poland. It is the second largest Pomeranian island after Rügen, and the most populous island in the Baltic Sea. It is north of the Szczecin Lagoon estuary of the Oder river. Kühlungsborn () is a ''Seebad'' (seaside resort) town in the Rostock district, in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. It is situated on the Baltic Sea coast, 11 km northwest of Bad Doberan, and 25 km northwest of Rostock. The town has an elongate beach and promenade, many hotels in typical German spa town architecture and a marina. It is the largest seaside spa town in Mecklenburg. Dwarfism is a condition wherein an organism is exceptionally small, and mostly occurs in the animal kingdom. Wotan Wilke Möhring (born 23 May 1967) is a German actor. Biography Möhring was born in Augustdorf near Detmold and grew up in Herne. His father was an army officer and his mother worked as a teacher. He has a sister and two brothers. One of them, Sönke Möhring, is also an actor.
