''Thicker than Water'' is a soundtrack to Richard Cummings Jr.'s 1999 film '' Thicker than Water''. It was released on October 5, 1999 via Priority Records and consisted of two discs of hip hop music. The soundtrack found success on the ''Billboard'' charts, peaking at number 64 on the ''Billboard'' 200, and at number 8 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, and spawned one single "Let It Reign" by the Westside Connection. AllMusic (previously known as All Music Guide and AMG) is an American online music database. It catalogs more than three million album entries and 30 million tracks, as well as information on musicians and bands. Initiated in 1991, the database was first made available on the Internet in 1994. AllMusic is owned by RhythmOne. History AllMusic was launched as ''All Music Guide'' by Michael Erlewine, a "compulsive archivist, noted astrologer, Buddhist scholar and musician". Allfrumtha I was an American rap duo from Inglewood, California: Binky Mack and Squeak Ru. They first appeared together on Westside Connection's 1996 debut album, ''Bow Down''. Before dropping their self-titled debut album on Priority Records in 1998, they appeared together on several Priority Records soundtracks and compilations, including: ''The Substitute'', ''West Coast Bad Boyz II'', ''Big Thangs'', ''Gang Related'', '' Straight Outta Compton: N.W.A 10th Anniversary Tribute'', and '' Thicker Than Water''. Background Binky Mack and Squeak Ru picked up that creative perspective from Westside Connection, the West Coast supergroup composed of Ice Cube, Mack 10 and WC. Road Dawgs
The Road Dawgs were an American hip hop duo composed of G-Luv and Swamp Rat. They started their career as associates of Naughty by Nature in 1993. They then signed a deal with Mack 10's Hoo-Bangin' Records in the late 90s and issued their only album in 1999 entitled '' Don't Be Saprize''. The duo first appeared on Naughty by Nature's "Klickow-Klickow" with the Rottin Razkals in 1993. The song appeared as a B-Side on the " Written on Ya Kitten" single but it was left off the ''19 Naughty III'' album. "Klickow-Klickow" instead appeared on Naughty's next album, ''Poverty's Paradise'' in 1995. The Road Dawgs also appeared on "Hang Out and Hustle" and "Connections" on that album and on the Rottin Razkals debut album, '' Rottin ta da Core'', that same year. Jonathan Burks (born October 4, 1964), better known by his stage name Jaz-O (formerly The Jaz), is an American rapper and record producer active in the late 1980s through the 1990s, best known for being the mentor of Brooklyn rapper Jay-Z. Malik Deshawn Cox (born June 23, 1978), known by his stage name Memphis Bleek, is an American rapper who was a protégé of fellow New York rapper Jay-Z. Westside Connection was an American hip-hop supergroup formed by Mack 10, WC and Ice Cube. The group's debut album, ''Bow Down'', reached the number 2 position on the ''Billboard'' 200 in 1996, going platinum that year. Biography Westside Connection began performing together in 1994, appearing on Mack 10's self-titled debut album, ''Mack 10'', on the song " Westside Slaughterhouse".
