Thiago Vecino Berriel (born 25 February 1999) is a Uruguayan professional Association football, footballer who plays as a Forward (association football), forward for Liverpool F.C. (Montevideo), Liverpool Montevideo. Club career An academy graduate of Club Nacional de Football, Nacional, Vecino played an important part in his team's triumph at 2018 U-20 Copa Libertadores. He scored three goals from five matches in the tournament, including a brace against Sport Huancayo. Vecino made his professional debut for Nacional on 17 August 2019, in a 1–1 draw against Club Atlético River Plate (Montevideo), River Plate Montevideo. He played whole 90 minutes in the match and scored his team's only goal. Montevideo () is the Capital city, capital and List of cities in Uruguay, largest city of Uruguay. According to the 2011 census, the city proper has a population of 1,319,108 (about one-third of the country's total population) in an area of . Montevideo is situated on the southern coast of the country, on the northeastern bank of the Río de la Plata.
