''They Came from the Shadows'' is the fourth studio album by the American punk rock band Teenage Bottlerocket. It was released on September 15, 2009, on Fat Wreck Chords, their first release for the label. The album was recorded at Blasting Room in May through July 2009. Music videos were made for 'Skate or Die" and "Bigger than KISS." Background In February 2009, the band announced that they had signed to Fat Wreck Chords, and were aiming to release a new studio album later in the year. Teenage Bottlerocket
Teenage Bottlerocket is an American punk rock band formed in Laramie, Wyoming in 2000. The band was formed by twin brothers Ray and Brandon Carlisle, following the dissolution of their previous band, Homeless Wonders. The band's music is heavily influenced by guitarist and co-vocalist Kody Templeman's other band, The Lillingtons, and punk rock acts such as Ramones, Screeching Weasel, Green Day, The Bouncing Souls, and Misfits; Their music has been referred to as "Ramones-core", "Weasel-core" and "leather jacket punk". In a 2006 interview with the band, Punknews described Teenage Bottlerocket as "the last decent band around playing Ramones-y pop punk", stating that Teenage Bottlerocket "certainly owe nothing to the trends" and naming the band "the best punk band from the Cowboy State since The Lillingtons". NOFX
NOFX () is an American punk rock band formed in Los Angeles, California in 1983. Vocalist/bassist Fat Mike, guitarist Eric Melvin and drummer Erik Sandin are original founding and longest-serving members of the band, who have appeared on every release of the band, although Sandin departed briefly in 1985, only to rejoin the following year. El Hefe joined the band in 1991 to play lead guitar and trumpet, rounding out the current line-up. The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. The Flatliners are a Canadian punk rock band from Richmond Hill, Ontario. Since their formation in 2002, the band has been a growing influence in the Toronto punk/ska movement, with consistently well-received albums and live shows. History The band self-released its debut album, '' Destroy to Create'' in 2005; after signing to Stomp Records, it was reissued on July 19, 2005. Anthony James Sly (November 4, 1970 – July 31, 2012) was an American singer, songwriter and guitarist, best known as the front man of the punk rock band No Use for a Name. In his later years he also gained attention for his acoustic solo work, with two acoustic split albums he released with Lagwagon front man Joey Cape and two solo albums. Biography Tony Sly attended Homestead High School in Cupertino, California. He was married to Brigitte Sly and had two daughters, Fiona Sly and Keira Sly.
