Jan Theuns
Jan Theuns (1877–1961). Dutch painter born in 1877 in Breda (Netherlands) and well known as a landscape and portrait painter. Theuns studied at the ''Ambachtsschool'' and was trained as a decorator. Early on re-known romantic painter Karel Frans Phillippeau (1825–1897) saw that the young Theuns had talent and encouraged him to take drawing lessons which he did at the ''Avondtekenschool'' in Breda. Theuns was an accomplished painter of landscapes, interiors and rural peasant scenes in the romantic style of many of late 19th century painters (for example “Oosterschelde oever bij Bergen op Zoom, genaamd De Duintjes” Oil paint on board 1925-1950, Inv.nr. Theuns Andries Willem 'Worsie' Kotzé (born 16 July 1987 in Karasburg, South-West Africa) is a Namibian international rugby union player, currently playing with the in South African domestic rugby. He is a utility back that can play as a scrum-half, fly-half or fullback, but is best known for playing as a fly-half for in the Rugby World Cup tournaments in 2011 and 2015. Theuns Jordaan (10 January 1971 – 17 November 2021) was a South African singer-songwriter. Biography Jordaan was born on 10 January 1971 on a Karoo farm near Venterstad in the Eastern Cape. While studying industrial psychology at the University of Stellenbosch, he had his first performance on 21 October 1992 at a local bar called ''The Terrace''. He started composing his own lyrics, resulting in five songs of his debut album, ''Vreemde Stad''. Theuns attended Volkskool High School in Graaff-Reinet in the Eastern Cape. While at school, Std 9 and matric he played music and sang to local patrons at a pizza restaurant/ pub called Trail in. After he completed his studies, Jordaan spent a year as an entrepreneur. Edward Theuns (born 30 April 1991) is a Belgian racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . He rode for his national team at the 2014 UCI Road World Championships. Career Theuns made his debut for in 2014. He took his first victory in August 2014 in the Grote Prijs Stad Zottegem. In 2015, he began his season with four top-ten finishes at the Étoile de Bessèges, finishing fifth overall and winning the points classification. Theunis Louis "Theuns" Botha is a retired South African politician of the Democratic Alliance. Previously, he served as the Western Provincial Minister of Cultural Affairs and as the Western Cape Provincial Minister of Health. He also served as a Member of the Western Cape Provincial Parliament from 2004 to 2015. He was Leader of the Opposition in the Provincial Parliament from 2004 to 2009 and Leader of the Democratic Alliance in the Western Cape from 2002 to 2012. Marthinus Theunis Steyn 'Theuns' Stofberg was the captain of the South Africa national rugby union team (Springboks) for four tests between 1980 and 1984. He is remembered for his speed and his size, both remarkable for a flank at that time. Theun De Vries
Theunis Uilke (Theun) de Vries (26 April 1907 – 21 January 2005), was a Dutch writer and poet. Life De Vries was born in the Frisian town of Feanwâlden. His parents moved to Apeldoorn in 1920. In 1936 he joined the Communist Party of the Netherlands and a year later he moved to Amsterdam to pursue a career in journalism. He became editor of the communist newspaper '' De Tribune'' and '' De Vrije Katheder''. During the occupation of the Netherlands by the Nazi forces he was arrested and imprisoned in Kamp Amersfoort. After the war he eventually became a member of the city council of Amsterdam. In 1971 he left the party without renouncing marxism, which he continued to uphold until the end of his life.
