Therme Manchester
Therme Manchester is a spa and water park resort under construction in Greater Manchester, England. As of 2023, it is scheduled to open in 2025, and is being built on the former site of the EventCity exhibition centre, adjacent to the Trafford Centre. History Planning Plans to realise a large-scale 'wellbeing resort' in TraffordCity were first announced in July 2019, with developers Therme Group inviting local residents to attend a consultation in the summer. Planning permission was subsequently granted to the project by Trafford Council in March 2020. In June 2023, a new design for the resort was revealed, with a revised planning application to be submitted to Trafford Council. The updated plans include waved glass domed pavilions, external water slides, a roof terrace, multi-storey car park, and landscaped boulevard. Trafford Park
Trafford Park is an area of the Metropolitan Borough of Trafford, Greater Manchester, England, opposite Salford Quays on the southern side of the Manchester Ship Canal, southwest of Manchester city centre and north of Stretford. Until the late 19th century, it was the ancestral home of the Trafford family, who sold it to financier Ernest Terah Hooley in 1896. Occupying an area of , it was the first planned industrial estate in the world, and remains the largest in Europe well over a century later. EventCity
EventCity Limited was a conference, gala dinner and exhibition venue in Greater Manchester, England. It opened in 2011 and was the largest event venue in the North of England, with four halls and a combined space of . It was closed during 2021 as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic. The plans for an alternative venue were also scrapped by the previous owners. EventCity was located in TraffordCity, an entertainment and leisure destination. Barton Dock Road Tram Stop
Barton Dock Road is a tram stop built on the Trafford Park Line of Greater Manchester's Metrolink light rail system. The stop is located on Barton Dock Road by the remodelled Peel Circle roundabout, and was created to serve passengers boarding and alighting at EventCity and the Trafford Centre.
