2018 Dallas Wings Season
The 2018 WNBA season will be the 21st season for the Dallas Wings franchise of the Women's National Basketball Association, WNBA. This will be the franchise's 3rd season in Dallas. The season tips off on May 18. Dallas had an up and down start to the season, posting a 2–3 record in May followed by a 5–4 record in June. However all but one of these seven losses came to eventual playoff teams. The team posted an 8–5 record in July, including winning 7 of 8 games in the middle of the month. The three straight losses at the end of the month were the beginning of a nine-game losing streak. In the midst of that losing streak, on August 12, 2018 the Wings fired their head coach Fred Williams (basketball, born 1957), Fred Williams. The 2017 WNBA season will be the 20th season for the Dallas Wings franchise of the WNBA. This will be the franchise's 2nd season in Dallas. The season tips off on May 14. Dallas started the season steadily posting an 8–8 record in May and June. It was a rocky July (3–6) but the team recovered in August by going 5–3. Despite losing their lone September game, the team qualified for the playoffs as the 7th seed with a 16–18 record. The 2017 WNBA season was the 21st season of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). The 2016 WNBA season was the 20th season of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). The 2015 WNBA season for the Tulsa Shock of the WNBA was the first winning season for the Shock franchise in Tulsa. It culminated with a first-ever visit to the WNBA playoffs in September 2015.
