Themistocles Nicholas "Themi" Leftheris (born December 20, 1982) is an United States, American-South Korean pair skater. With partner Naomi Nari Nam, he is the 2006 Skate America bronze medalist and 2007 U.S. Figure Skating Championships, 2007 U.S. national bronze medalist. With partner Ji Min-ji, he is a two-time (2016, 2017) South Korean Figure Skating Championships, South Korean national champion. Personal life Leftheris was born on December 20, 1982, in Tarpon Springs, Florida. He studied communications at Long Beach City College. Career Early career Leftheris started skating at age 12 and began pair skating at 15. His first skating partner was Sarah Jo Damron-Brown. With Jacqueline Jimenez, he became the 2001 U.S. Figure Skating Championships, 2001 U.S. novice silver medalist. They won a silver medal at the first event of the 2001–02 ISU Junior Grand Prix. Artesia, California
Artesia (Spanish for "artesian aquifer") is a city in southeast Los Angeles County, California. Artesia was incorporated on May 29, 1959, and is one of Los Angeles County's Gateway Cities. The 2007 Four Continents Figure Skating Championships was an international figure skating competition in the 2006–07 season. It was held at the World Arena in Colorado Springs, USA on February 7–10. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. Medals table Results Men Ladies Pairs Jessica Dubé / Bryce Davison did not complete their free skating and so automatically withdrew. During a side-by-side camel spin, the two drifted too close to each other, and Davison's blade hit Dubé in the face. She was immediately taken to the hospital and underwent surgery to repair the damage. Dubé later made a complete recovery and the two were able to compete at the 2007 World Championships. Benjamin Okolski
Benjamin Okolski (born November 12, 1984) is an American former pair skater. With Brooke Castile, he is the 2008 Four Continents bronze medalist, 2007 Nebelhorn Trophy champion, and 2007 U.S. national champion. Personal life Benjamin Okolski was born in Tucson, Arizona. He initially studied engineering at Washtenaw Community College. After obtaining a master's degree in accounting from the University of Michigan, he became an auditor at Deloitte. Career Okolski began skating at age eight and began pairs at twelve with his sister, Colleen. He teamed up with Brooke Castile after the 2002 U.S. Championships. John Baldwin (figure Skater)
John Baldwin, Jr. (born October 18, 1973) is an American retired figure skater. With partner Rena Inoue, he is a two-time U.S. national champion. Inoue and Baldwin are the first skaters to perform a throw triple Axel in competition. Personal life Baldwin was born in Dallas, Texas. His parents were both skating coaches. His father, John Baldwin Sr., competed as a single skater in the 1960s. His brother Don Baldwin competed in singles as well. Baldwin attended Poway High School. He proposed to his skating partner Rena Inoue in January 2008. Their first daughter was born in November 2011 and the second four years later. is a Japanese-born American retired pair skater. With partner John Baldwin, she is the 2004 and 2006 U.S. National Champion. Inoue previously competed for Japan as both a single skater and pair skater. Inoue and Baldwin are the first skaters to perform a throw triple Axel in competition. Personal life Rena Inoue was born in Nishinomiya, Hyōgo, Japan. She moved to the United States in 1996 at the urging of her father, who had been diagnosed with lung cancer. In 1998, less than two years after her father's death, Inoue was also diagnosed with lung cancer. It was detected early, and after six months of chemotherapy, she was cancer-free.
