Theikpan Soe Myint Naing ( my, သိပ္ပံစိုးမြင့်နိုင်) is a writer of children's books in Burma. He has received a National Literary Award and has twice received Sarpay Beikman Manuscript Awards. His work has appeared in various magazines. On 2 December 1993 it was announced that he had won a National Literary Award in the children's literature category for his ''Nyi-htwelay atwet Khalay Kabyar-myar''. Myanmar National Literature Awards ( my, အမျိုးသား စာပေဆု) are awards presented to a Burmese author who has published a particularly lauded piece or body of work. There are awards for forms of writing ranging from poetry to novels. Many awards are also dedicated to a certain genre of fiction or non-fiction writing (such as science fiction or politics). The Sarpay Beikman Manuscript Awards ( my, စာပေဗိမာန် စာပဒေသာ ဆုများ) are annual literary awards given in Burma by the Sarpay Beikman (Palace of Literature), a department of the Ministry of Information. Major-General Maung Oo (born 1952) is a prominent member of the military government of Burma. He served as Minister of Home Affairs for many years. Military career For a period Major-General Maung Oo was regional commander of Rakhine State. Khin Aung Myint ( my, ခင်အောင်မြင့်) is a Burmese politician and incumbent Amyotha Hluttaw MP for Mandalay Region № 8 constituency. He previously served as Speaker of the Amyotha Hluttaw, the upper house of the Myanmar parliament. A senior official of the Myanmar military government and a major general, he was Director of Public Relations and Psychological Warfare in the Myanmar Ministry of Defense and was assigned as Minister of Culture after Kyi Aung in 2006.
