Theater Regensburg
Theater Regensburg (also known as the Stadttheater Regensburg, theatre of the city of Regensburg) is a theatrical organization that produces operas, musicals, ballets, plays, and concerts in Regensburg, Germany. The organization operates several performance venues throughout the city. History Theater Regensburg was established in 1804 with the opening of the Stadttheater Regensburg at Bismarckplatz 7. That theatre was designed by Emanuel Herigoyen and destroyed by a fire in 1849. The theatre was rebuilt under a new design, also by Herigoyen, and opened in 1852 with a performance of Meyerbeer's '' Die Hugenotten''. The theatre was modernized in 1898 and again greatly renovated in the 1990s. That theatre, now known as the Theater am Bismarckplatz, remains Regensburg's principal venue for operas and operettas. Regensburg Stadttheater Zuschauerraum 2004
Regensburg or is a city in eastern Bavaria, at the confluence of the Danube, Naab and Regen rivers. It is capital of the Upper Palatinate subregion of the state in the south of Germany. With more than 150,000 inhabitants, Regensburg is the fourth-largest city in the State of Bavaria after Munich, Nuremberg and Augsburg. Georg Britting
Georg Britting (born 17 February 1891 in Regensburg; died 27 April 1964 in Munich) was a German poet, short story writer, and essayist. Life Britting spent his early years in Regensburg. His writing career began in 1911, when he began publishing poems, short stories, and articles about the theater. He volunteered to join the army in 1914 and was heavily wounded in World War I (1914-1918). After World War I Britting became a critic for the ''Neue Donau-Post''. Franz Hummel
Franz Hummel (2 January 1939 – 20 August 2022) was a German composer and pianist. From his youth, Hummel was interested in music and, in particular, the works of Richard Strauss, Eugen Papst and Hans Knappertsbusch. In Munich and Salzburg, he studied both composition and piano. He became a virtuoso pianist and travelled across Europe performing, and making 60 recordings of much of the standard repertoire of classical, romantic and contemporary piano music before. In the 1970s, he ceased to publicly perform as a pianist, choosing instead to concentrate on composition. Since then, his operas, symphonies, ballets, concerti and chamber works have been performed, many times, in the most renowned concert halls and opera houses around Europe. Wilfried Hiller (born 15 March 1941) is a German composer. He became known above all for his stage works for families, children and young people. Life and work Hiller was born the son of the teacher August Hiller and his wife Josepha Hiller, née Hauser, in the Swabian town of Weißenhorn near Ulm. Michael Andreas Helmuth Ende (12 November 1929 – 28 August 1995) was a German writer of fantasy and children's fiction.
