The Yellow Division
''The Yellow Squadron'' (Swedish: ''Gula divisionen'') is a 1954 romantic drama film directed by Stig Olin and starring Lars Ekborg, Hasse Ekman and Ann-Marie Gyllenspetz.Qvist & Von Bagh p.111 It was released in the wake of the Korean War, set at the Svea Air Force Wing (F 8), just north of Stockholm and revolves around a fighter squadron of J 29 aircraft. It was shot at the Centrumateljéerna Studios in Stockholm and on location at the Barkaby Air Force Base. The film's sets were designed by the art director Nils Nilsson. Stig Olin
Stig Olin, né ''Högberg'' (11 September 1920 – 28 June 2008) was a Swedish actor, theatre director, songwriter and singer. He was the father of actress Lena Olin and singer Mats Olin. He was married to film actresses Britta Holmberg and Helena Kallenbäck. Barkarby Airport
Barkarby Airport was a disbanded Swedish Air Force base, near Akalla north of Stockholm used for general aviation. Barkarby Airport was one of Sweden’s oldest active airports until it was closed in 2010. A large shopping complex is still situated close to – and partly on – the airfield. Current plans are to construct houses, apartments and offices on large parts of the airfield. December 2008 was due to be the last commercial flight date, after which houses were due to be built. Due to legal complexities about the cancellation of the contract, however, the airport was open for another two years. The airport was finally closed in June 2010. Barkarby airport was the location used to photograph the 1976 cover of the ABBA album, ''Arrival''. Meg Westergren
Elsa Margareta "Meg" Westergren (born 16 May 1932) is a Swedish actress from Nockeby, Bromma, in Stockholm. Her parents were both actors and she made her acting debut in the 1951 film ''Living on 'Hope'''. She studied at the Royal Dramatic Training Academy from 1951 to 1954, and became a successful comedic theater actress afterwards. Westergren has been married twice and has one son.
