The Xiqu Center Of Taiwan
The Taiwan Traditional Theatre Center (TTTC; ), also known as the Xiqu Center of Taiwan, is a performance center in Shilin District, Taipei, Taiwan. History The topping out of the center construction happened on 22 July 2014. The center was completed in mid 2015 and officially opened in 2016. Architecture The center consists of the main theater, experimental theater, plaza, terrace and Taiwan Music Institute which spreads across an area of 1.76 hectares with a shape of 'one table, two chairs'. Shilin District
Shilin District (also spelled Shihlin District, zh, t=士林區, p=Shìlínqū, poj=Sū-lîm-khu) is a district of Taipei. The central command center of the Republic of China Navy (ROCN) is located in Shilin. History The name ''Shilin'' was derived from ''Pattsiran'', the indigenous Ketagalan word for "hot springs". Zhishan (, formerly transliterated as Chihshan Station until 2003) is a metro station in Taipei, Taiwan served by Taipei Metro. It is a station on the Tamsui-Xinyi Line. In building construction, topping out (sometimes referred to as topping off) is a builders' rite traditionally held when the last beam (or its equivalent) is placed atop a structure during its construction. The Taiwan Music Institute (TMI; ) is a musical institute in Taiwan. It is headquartered at Taiwan Traditional Theatre Center.
