The X Factor (Australian Season 7)
''The X Factor'' was an Australian television reality music competition, based on the original UK series, to find new singing talent; the winner of which received a Sony Music Australia recording contract. The seventh season premiered on the Seven Network on 13 September 2015 and concluded on 24 November 2015. Luke Jacobz returned as the host of the show. Dannii Minogue was the only judge from the previous season who returned, while Redfoo, Ronan Keating and Natalie Bassingthwaighte were replaced by former judge Guy Sebastian, as well as new judges James Blunt and Chris Isaak. The winner was Cyrus Villanueva and his winner's single "Stone" was released after the final. He was mentored by Isaak, who won as mentor for the first time. Open auditions in front of the show's producers took place in 13 cities between January and March 2015. Luke Jacobz
Luke Jacobz (born Luke Jacob Ashwood; 14 February 1981) is an Australian actor and television presenter. Career He appeared in a high school production of ''The Man of Steel'' in 1995. He came to public attention when he starred as Zac Croft for two years on the Australian teen drama television series ''Heartbreak High''. He later moved on to hosting television programs such as ''The Big Arvo'' and ''Popstars Live''. Jacobz made a return to acting in ''McLeod's Daughters'' as Patrick Brewer, appearing on the show between 2005 and 2008. He also appeared in a six-month recurring role as Angelo Rosetta in ''Home and Away'', where after becoming a viewer favourite, he was then upgraded to series regular. John Cain Arena is a multi-purpose sports and entertainment arena located within Melbourne Park in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It is the second-largest venue and show court for the Australian Open, the first Grand Slam professional tennis tournament held each calendar year. The arena also hosts various other sporting and entertainment events throughout the year. Sydney Entertainment Centre (later known as Qantas Credit Union Arena) was a multi-purpose arena located in Haymarket, Sydney, Australia. It opened in May 1983, to replace Sydney Stadium, which had been demolished in 1970 to make way for the Eastern Suburbs railway line. The centre was owned by the Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority, which administered the neighbouring Darling Harbour area, and managed under a lease. It was one of Sydney's larger concert venues, licensed to accommodate over 13,000 people as a conventional theatre or 8,000 as a theatre-in-the-round. It was the largest permanent concert venue in Sydney until 1999, when the Sydney Super Dome opened at Sydney Olympic Park.
