''The Worst Christmas of My Life'' ( it, Il peggior Natale della mia vita) is a 2012 Italian comedy film directed by Alessandro Genovesi and starring Fabio De Luigi and Cristiana Capotondi. It is the sequel of ''The Worst Week of My Life''. It was a commercial success, grossing $10,275,097 at the Italian box office. Plot Paolo needs to reach the castle of Alberto Caccia, where he is invited to spend Christmas holidays with his wife Margherita, at the ninth month of pregnancy, and her family. Among various mishaps and blunders, Paolo will come to make everyone believe, because of a misunderstanding, that Alberto is dead because of his fault. Alessandro Genovesi
Alessandro Genovesi (born 10 January 1973) is an Italian director, screenwriter, playwright and actor. Life and career Born in Milan, Genovesi started his professional career on stage, first as an actor and later as a playwright and a director. He had his breakout in 2007, with the play ''Happy Family'' he wrote and directed; the play won several awards, and in 2010 it was adapted in Happy Family (2010 film), a film with the same title directed by Gabriele Salvatores in which Genovesi served as a screenwriter and an assistant director. Andrea Mingardi (born 1 August 1940) is an Italian singer-songwriter, composer, musician, author and occasional actor. Life and career Born in Bologna, Mingardi approached the music at young age, founding the group "Golden Rock Boys" in 1959. Diego Abatantuono (born 20 May 1955) is an Italian cinema and theatre actor, and screenwriter, three-time winner of the Nastro d'Argento. Biography and career Abatantuono was born in Milan to a father of Apulian origin and a mother from Como.
