The World Of Hans Christian Andersen
is a 1968 Japanese-American animated fantasy film produced by Toei Doga, based on the works of Danish author Hans Christian Andersen. Theatrically released in Japan on March 19, 1968, the film was licensed in North America by United Artists in 1971. Synopsis A young Hans Christian Andersen, while seeking an opera ticket, suddenly discovers the inspirations and talents he will later have for his fairy tales. Release ''The World of Hans Christian Andersen'' was released by Toei on March 19, 1968, three years prior to '' Andersen Stories'' (''Anderusen Monogatari'', 1971), an eponymous and thematically similar series produced by Zuiyo Enterprise and Mushi Production. The film and the series also have in common composer Seiichirō Uno, screenwriters Hisashi Inoue and Morihisa Yamamoto, and voice actress Eiko Masuyama. Kimio Yabuki
Kimio Yabuki ( ja, 矢吹 公郎) is a Japanese animator. Known in Japan for his work on many early classic works by the Toei Animation studio, his best-known film in the West is ''Rainbow Brite and the Star Stealer'' from 1985, produced by the French-American company DiC with animation work done in Japan. In 1969, he teamed up with a young Hayao Miyazaki in the production of an animated version of ''Puss in Boots''. Yabuki was an employee of Toei Animation until going freelance in 1973, but did work on several Toei productions (including ''Dororon Enma-kun'', ''Ikkyu-san'', and ''The Kabocha Wine'') afterward. Toshiko Fujita
was a Japanese actress, voice actress, singer and narrator. She was affiliated with Aoni Production at the time of her death. Biography Since the age of 8 in 1958, Fujita worked in radio and television as an actress, singer and comedian. In addition, she also sang theme songs for anime such as the 1969 adaptation of ''Dororo''. She also dubbed several English-language films in Japanese, as well as lending her voice to anime, such as '' Ikkyū-san'' (Ikkyu), ''Kiteretsu Daihyakka'' (Kiteretsu ), ''Digimon Adventure'' ( Taichi Yagami), ''Fist of the North Star'' (Mamiya) and '' Cat's Eye'' (Rui Kisugi). Tadao Takashima
(27 July 1930 – 26 June 2019) was a Japanese actor and jazz musician. He appeared in more than 100 films, including the Toho productions ''King Kong vs. Godzilla'', ''Atragon'', and '' Frankenstein vs. Baragon''. He also performed in stage musicals such as ''My Fair Lady'' and appeared in several television shows. Career Takashima began participating in a jazz band while a student at Kwansei Gakuin University. He left the university before graduating when he joined the Shintoho studio, debuting as an actor in 1952. is a 1978 Japanese anime fantasy film produced by Toei Animation and Tezuka Productions based on the fairy tale of the same name by Hans Christian Andersen.
