World
In its most general sense, the term "world" refers to the totality of entities, to the whole of reality or to everything that is. The nature of the world has been conceptualized differently in different fields. Some conceptions see the world as unique while others talk of a "plurality of worlds". Tulsa World
The ''Tulsa World'' is the daily newspaper for the city of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and primary newspaper for the northeastern and eastern portions of Oklahoma. Tulsa World Media Company is part of Lee Enterprises. The new owners announced in January 2020 that a corporate purchase was made of BH Media Group, a Berkshire Hathaway company controlled by Warren Buffett. The printed edition is the second-most circulated newspaper in the state, after ''The Oklahoman''. It was founded in 1905 and locally owned by the Lorton family for almost 100 years until February 2013, when it was sold to BH Media Group. In the early 1900s, the ''World'' fought an editorial battle in favor of building a reservoir on Spavinaw Creek, in addition to opposing the Ku Klux Klan in the 1920s. The Evening World
''The Evening World'' was a newspaper that was published in New York City from 1887 to 1931. It was owned by Joseph Pulitzer, and served as an evening edition of the ''New York World.'' History The first issue was on October 10, 1887. It was published daily, except for Sunday. The final publication was on February 26, 1931. It was merged with ''New York World'' and the ''New York Telegram'' and became the ''New York World-Telegram''. In 1899, ''The Evening World'' was the subject of a large-scale newsboy strike, immortalized by the Disney film and stage musical '' Newsies''. The ''New York World'' was a newspaper published in New York City from 1860 until 1931. The paper played a major role in the history of American newspapers. It was a leading national voice of the Democratic Party. ''El Mundo'' (; ), before ''El Mundo del Siglo Veintiuno'', is the second largest printed daily newspaper in Spain. The paper is considered one of the country's newspapers of record along with '' El País and ABC.'' History and profile ''El Mundo'' was first published on 23 October 1989. Perhaps the best known of its founders was Pedro J. Ramírez, who served as editor until 2014. Ramirez had risen to prominence as a journalist during the Spanish transition to democracy. Stephen Glover (born 13 January 1952) is a British journalist and columnist for the ''Daily Mail''. Early life Glover was educated at Shrewsbury School and Mansfield College, Oxford. Career Glover co-founded ''The Independent'' in 1986 with Andreas Whittam Smith and Matthew Symonds. All three had previously been journalists on ''The Daily Telegraph'' and had left the paper towards the end of Lord Hartwell's ownership. Between 1986 and 1990 Glover was Foreign Editor of ''The Independent''. In 1990 he became the founding editor of ''The Independent on Sunday''. In 1992 Glover helped Richard Ingrams launch ''The Oldie'' magazine with fellow journalists Auberon Waugh, Alexander Chancellor, and Patrick Marnham.
