''The Woman at the Crossroads'' (German: ''Die Frau am Scheidewege'') is a 1938 German drama film directed by Josef von Báky and starring Ewald Balser, Magda Schneider and Karin Hardt.Hake p.199 It was made partly at the Hunnia Film Studios in Budapest. The film's sets were designed by the art director Emil Hasler. Synopsis After a failed marriage to an artist, a young female doctor returns to her rightful place in the hospital. She is internationally recognized for her role as Kriemhild in director Fritz Lang's ''Die Nibelungen'' series of two silent fantasy films, ''Die Nibelungen: Siegfried'' and ''Nibelungen: Kriemhild's Revenge''.
