''The Wolfman Jack Show'' was a Canadian variety television series which aired on CBC Television from 1976 to 1977, and syndicated to stations in the US. Premise This Vancouver-based series was a co-production of the CBC and host Wolfman Jack's production company, Howl Productions. International musical guests were combined with Canadian musicians such as Bachman–Turner Overdrive and The Stampeders. Other segments frequently featured comedy from Peter Cullen, Danny Wells and Sally Sales, with sketches from the Famous People Players. Famous People Players is a black light puppetry theatre company. It is based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and tours worldwide. It is a non-profit organization that employs people with physical and intellectual disabilities. Those individuals share duties in dining room management, arts administration, and theatrical and visual arts performances. Since inception, the company has paid homage to the works of famous people within its own theatrical context, hence the name ''Famous People'' Players. Queen's University at Kingston, commonly known as Queen's University or simply Queen's, is a public research university in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Queen's holds more than of land throughout Ontario and owns Herstmonceux Castle in East Sussex, England. Queen's is organized into eight faculties and schools. Peter Claver Cullen (born July 28, 1941) is a Canadian voice actor. He is best known as the voice of Optimus Prime in the original 1980s ''Transformers'' animated series, reprising the role many times since 2007. The Stampeders
The Stampeders (sometimes shortened to Stampeders) are a Canadian rock trio consisting of lead guitarist and vocalist Rich Dodson, bassist Ronnie King and drummer Kim Berly. History Formed in Calgary, Alberta, in 1964 as the Rebounds. they had five members: Rich Dodson, Len Roemer, Brendan Lyttle, Kim Berly, and Race Holiday. They renamed themselves The Stampeders in 1965 and Len Roemer was replaced with Ronnie King and Van Louis. In 1966, they relocated to Toronto and became a trio in 1968 when Lyttle, Louis, and Holiday left. The Stampeders scored a hit in 1971 with "Sweet City Woman", which won Best Single at the Juno Awards, reached #1 on the RPM magazine charts, and #8 in the U.S. ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart.
