Harry Joe Brown
Harry Joe Brown (September 22, 1890 – April 28, 1972) was an American film producer, and earlier a theatre and film director. Biography Harry Joe Brown was born in 1890 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. As a producer, he had a partnership with director Budd Boetticher, actor Randolph Scott and screenwriter Burt Kennedy, which generated a series of five westerns between 1957 and 1960 (''The Tall T, Decision at Sundown, Buchanan Rides Alone, Ride Lonesome, Comanche Station'') via a company he created with Scott which eventually became known as Ranown Pictures Corp. He produced the American debut films of both Errol Flynn in '' Captain Blood'' and Sean Flynn in ''Son of Captain Blood''. Brown earlier directed a number of films, among them '' Knickerbocker Holiday'', '' Sitting Pretty'' and '' Madison Square Garden''. Tom O'Brien (July 25, 1890 – June 8, 1947) was an American silent and sound character actor known for his burly serio-comic roles. He worked in the comedy film ''The Gentleman from America'' (1923) as Johnny Day, which is about the humorous tale of two American buddies (O'Brien and Hoot Gibson) and they have numerous adventures in Spain. Tom O'Brien appeared in over 80 films in a 22 years of career. He was primarily cast as stocky "Irish types" in comic supporting roles. He also worked in ''The Big Parade'' (1925) as Corporal Bull O'Hara. He was buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale. Billy Sullivan (July 18, 1891 – May 23, 1946), also known as W. A. Sullivan, William A. Sullivan, and Arthur Sullivan, was an American character actor of the silent and early sound film eras. Biography Born on Long Island, New York in the village of Great Neck on August 18, 1891, Sullivan had his start in film shorts in the 1910s. His first film production was a short which was part of a 23-part serial entitled, ''The Million Dollar Mystery'', in 1914. The 23 episodes were edited into a feature-length film of the same name in 1918. His first feature-length film was in the role of King Arthur in 1917's ''Over the Hill''. During the early 1920s, he continued to work mainly in shorts, before moving into almost exclusively feature films in 1925. From 1924 through 1927 he starred in about 20 films for Rayart Pictures, such as ''The Slanderers'' (1924), ''Goat Getter'' (1925), '' The Winner'' (1926), and ''When Seconds Count'' (1927). Martin Turner (American Actor)
Martin Robert Turner (born 1 October 1947) is an English musician best known for his time as the bass guitarist, lead vocalist and a founding member of the rock band, Wishbone Ash. Career Turner was with Wishbone Ash, known for their twin lead guitars, melodic songwriting and complex instrumental style, from its inception in 1969 until 1980, during which time he was a key songwriter and creative force within the band. He played on their classic album '' Argus'' to which he also contributed vocals as well as the bulk of the album's lyrics. Turner's melodic basslines, where the instrument was often used as a third lead guitar, were an important part of the Wishbone Ash sound during the 1970s. In 1980, a decision by the rest of Wishbone Ash to introduce a frontman led to Turner parting company with Wishbone Ash. The frontman never appeared and Turner was replaced by John Wetton, who was formerly with King Crimson, Uriah Heep, Family and Roxy Music. Turner went on to a career in ...
