The Weight (film)
''The Weight'' () is a 2012 South Korean film about a hunchback mortician and his transgender stepsister. It made its world premiere in the Venice Days sidebar of the 69th Venice International Film Festival, where it won the 2012 Queer Lion, an award for the "best film with a homosexual and queer culture theme." It is the first Korean film to have won the prize. It also won a Special Award at the 2013 Fantasporto Orient Express Awards. Jeon Kyu-hwan was awarded Best Director at the 16th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, and the Silver Peacock award for best director at the International Film Festival of India. Cho Jae-hyun won Best Actor at the 2013 Fantasia Festival. Most of director Jeon Kyu-hwan's previous films, including Berlinale-featured ''Varanasi'' and ''Dance Town'', have dealt with the underbelly of society. Jeon Kyu-hwan
Jeon Kyu-hwan (born 1965) is a South Korean film director and screenwriter. Besides being the first Korean film to win the 2012 Queer Lion at the 69th Venice International Film Festival, ''The Weight'' (2012) also won various awards at film festivals, including Best Director at the 16th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival and Silver Peacock Award for best director at the 43rd International Film Festival of India in 2012. The Berlin International Film Festival (german: Internationale Filmfestspiele Berlin), usually called the Berlinale (), is a major international film festival held annually in Berlin, Germany. Darcy Paquet (born 1972) is an American film critic, university lecturer, author and actor. In 2010, Paquet was awarded the Korea Film Reporters Association Award at the 15th Busan International Film Festival for his contributions in introducing Korean cinema to the world. Paquet was also the founder and organiser of Wildflower Film Awards Korea which presents the Wildflower Film Awards. Education Paquet, a Massachusetts native, majored in Russian language at Carleton College in Minnesota and had a Master in Applied Linguistics at Indiana University. Kim Sung-min (Korean: 김성민, February 14, 1973June 26, 2016) was a South Korean actor. Career Kim made his acting debut in 1995, as a member of the theatre troupe Constellation (). Hunchback
Kyphosis is an abnormally excessive convex curvature of the spine as it occurs in the thoracic and sacral regions. Abnormal inward concave ''lordotic'' curving of the cervical and lumbar regions of the spine is called lordosis. It can result from degenerative disc disease; developmental abnormalities, most commonly Scheuermann's disease; Copenhagen disease, osteoporosis with compression fractures of the vertebra; multiple myeloma; or trauma. A normal thoracic spine extends from the 1st thoracic to the 12th thoracic vertebra and should have a slight kyphotic angle, ranging from 20° to 45°. When the "roundness" of the upper spine increases past 45° it is called kyphosis or "hyperkyphosis". Scheuermann's kyphosis is the most classic form of hyperkyphosis and is the result of wedged vertebrae that develop during adolescence.
