The Wall Street Journal Special Editions is a venture launched in 1994 by '' The Wall Street Journal'' to expand its readership abroad, especially in the Americas. It publishes pages, bearing the ''Journal's'' banner, within major daily and weekly newspapers around the world featuring selected content from ''The Wall Street Journal''. Its Special Editions are carried in 37 newspapers in 35 countries, translated into 10 languages, with a total combined circulation of 5.2 million. El Norte (Monterrey)
El Norte is a daily newspaper printed and distributed in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. History During the decades of the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, El Norte gained important successes in exposing corruption in government. Due to its principles of independent journalism, the federal government cut the paper supply required to print the newspaper, so the company had to import it directly. At the end ''El Norte'' won the battle against the then government monopoly import of paper for printing (PIPSA). Grupo Reforma is 85 years old. ''La Prensa'' is a mainstream metropolitan newspaper, and became one of the first newspapers to print in color in Central America. History Brothers Antonio Dutriz and José Dutriz formed a commencial partnership known as Dutríz Hermanos on October 14, 1903. ''La Prensa'' was then founded by José and Antonio Dutriz, and its first issue was printed and distributed on May 10, 1915. The first issue had four standard size pages.
