''The Walk'' is an interactive fiction podcast created by Naomi Alderman and produced by Panoply Media that debuted in 2018. Background The podcast debuted on January 18, 2018, and released episodes every Tuesday and Thursday for four months for a total of 31 episodes. The show was produced by Panoply Media in partnership with the NHS and Department of Health. The creator of the podcast was Naomi Alderman, who had previously worked on '' Zombies, Run!'' which also contained interactive storytelling. The protagonist of the show is the listener, who is supposed to walk as the story progresses. Naomi Alderman
Naomi Alderman (born 1974) is an English novelist and game writer. She is best known for her speculative science fiction novel ''The Power (2016 novel), The Power'', which won the Women's Prize for Fiction in 2017. Biography Alderman was born in London, the daughter of Geoffrey Alderman, a specialist in Anglo-Jewish history who has described himself as an unconventional Orthodox Jew. Alderman was educated at South Hampstead High School and Lincoln College, Oxford, where she read Philosophy, Politics and Economics. After she left Oxford, she worked in children's publishing and then for a law firm, editing their publications. She went on to study creative writing at the University of East Anglia before becoming a novelist. ''Scripted'' is the debut studio album by American rock band Icon for Hire. It was released on Tooth & Nail Records on August 23, 2011, and went on to break the label's new artist record for albums sold during the first week of release. Background This is the band's first label release; they had released two EPs prior to being signed, ''Icon for Hire EP'' (2008) and ''The Grey EP'' (2009). Three songs from those recordings reappear here with altered arrangements and lyrics: "Off with Her Head", "The Grey", and "Only a Memory" (originally called "Pernilla").
