The Vtuber Awards
The Vtuber Awards, also styled as The VTuber Awards, are awards presented to the best in the VTuber industry. The first ceremony was held in 2023. Process Users are given an option to submit nominations, and afterwards they are given an option to choose one nominee for each category. All VTubers are eligible for nominations. Categories The current categories are: 2023 Vtuber Awards The 2023 Vtuber Awards were held on December 16, 2023 at the WePlay Esports Arena in Los Angeles, California. It was hosted by Filian in a room normally for esports and broadcast on her Twitch channel. Mythic Talent, Filian's agency, was the producer of the ceremony. Although VTubers had a dedicated Streamy Awards category and won Content Creator of the Year at The Game Awards 2023, The Vtuber Awards were, according to Morgan Sung at ''TechCrunch'', "one of the first of its kind ..for VTubing". A , or , is an online entertainer who uses a virtual avatar generated using computer graphics. Real-time motion capture software or technology are often—but not always—used to capture movement. The digital trend originated in Japan in the mid-2010s, and has become an international online phenomenon in the early 2020s. A majority of VTubers are English and Japanese-speaking YouTubers or live streamers who use avatar designs. By 2020, there were more than 10,000 active VTubers. Although the term is an allusion to the video platform YouTube, they also use websites such as Niconico, Twitch, Facebook, Twitter and Bilibili. ''Baldur's Gate III'' is an upcoming role-playing video game developed and published by Larian Studios. It is the third main game in the ''Baldur's Gate'' series, which is itself based on the ''Dungeons & Dragons'' tabletop role-playing system. also known as ''Watermelon Game'', is a Japanese puzzle video game developed and published by Aladdin X, which combines the elements of falling and merging puzzle games. The game was originally developed for the company's digital projectors; however, due to its initial success, the game was released on the Nintendo eShop in December 2021 only in Japan. In October 2023, the game was given a global release. The concept originates from a Chinese browser game titled ''"Merge Big Watermelon"'' () that released in January 2021. The game involves the player trying to build a high-score through dropping fruits into a container without having them overflow out of the container. To earn points the player must combine two of the same fruits together, which creates a new fruit in the game's fruit cycle. Her speech and personality are generated by an artificial intelligence (AI) system which utilizes a large language model, allowing her to communicate with viewers in a live chat. She was created by a computer programmer and AI-developer named Vedal, who decided to build upon the concept of an AI VTuber by combining interactions between AI gameplay and a computer-generated avatar.
