''The Vietnam War (Original Score)'' is an electronic soundtrack album by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross for Ken Burns and Lynn Novick's television documentary series '' The Vietnam War'' which first aired on PBS in September 2017. The album was released on vinyl, CD and digitally on September 15, 2017 by Universal Music Enterprises and Reznor's own label The Null Corporation. Additionally, the TV series reused tracks from ''The Social Network'' (2010), '' The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo'' (2011), together with snippets of ten tracks from Nine Inch Nails' 2008 album '' Ghosts I–IV'' and instrumental versions of "The Wretched" from 1999's ''The Fragile'' and "The Beginning of the End" from 2007's '' Year Zero''. Trent Reznor
Michael Trent Reznor (born May 17, 1965) is an American musician, singer, songwriter, record producer, and composer. He serves as the lead vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and principal songwriter of the industrial rock band Nine Inch Nails, which he founded in 1988 and of which he was the sole official member until 2016. The first Nine Inch Nails album, '' Pretty Hate Machine'' (1989), was a commercial and critical success. Reznor has since released 11 more Nine Inch Nails studio albums. Reznor began his career in the mid-1980s as a member of synth-pop bands such as Option 30, The Innocent, and Exotic Birds. He has contributed to the albums of artists such as Marilyn Manson, whom he mentored, rapper Saul Williams and Halsey. The Fragile (Nine Inch Nails Album)
''The Fragile'' is the third studio album by American industrial rock band Nine Inch Nails, released as a double album by Nothing Records and Interscope Records on September 21, 1999. It was produced by Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor and English producer Alan Moulder, a longtime Reznor collaborator. It was recorded throughout 1997 to 1999 in New Orleans. Looking to depart from the distorted production of their previous album, ''The Downward Spiral'' (1994), the album features elements of ambient and electronic music alongside the band's signature industrial rock sound. The album continues some of the lyrical themes from ''The Downward Spiral'', including depression and drug abuse. The album notably contains more instrumental sections than their previous work, with some entire tracks being instrumentals. Doug Wamble
Doug Wamble (born Samuel Douglas Wamble, October 22, 1972) is an American jazz guitarist and vocalist from Tennessee. Biography Wamble grew up Memphis, Tennessee. He was inspired to play guitar after hearing records by Charlie Christian. He entered Memphis State University intending to pursue audio engineering, but he changed his mind after seeing Harry Connick Jr. and Russell Malone in concert. He switched to the University of North Florida, then got a master's degree from Northwestern University. At North Florida, he met pianist Roy Dunlap, bassist Jeff Hanley, and drummer Peter Miles, with whom he would later form a band. In 1997, Wamble moved to New York City, where he met Wynton Marsalis.
