Leopoldo Savona
Leopoldo Savona (1922–2000) was an Italian actor, director, choreographer, and screenwriter. He directed 18 films between 1954 and 1976. He was sometimes credited as Leo Colman or Leo Coleman. Alfredo Pea
Alfredo Pea (born 17 November 1954) is an Italian stage, film and television actor. Life and career Born in Rome, Pea studied acting at the "Studio di arti sceniche" drama school by Alessandro Fersen. He became first known in the mid-seventies thanks to a series of commedia sexy all'italiana films, in which he played the typical role of a shy teenager seduced by more experienced women. In the same period he started appearing, in secondary roles, in more ambitious art films, working with Giuliano Montaldo, Mario Monicelli, Marco Tullio Giordana and Giuseppe Ferrara, among others. ''The Two Orphans'' (French: ''Les deux orphelines'') is a 1933 French historical drama film directed by Maurice Tourneur and starring Rosine Deréan, Renée Saint-Cyr and Gabriel Gabrio. The film's sets were designed by the art director Lucien Aguettand.Waldman p.147 The film was based on the play '' The Two Orphans'' which had been turned into several films. Tourneur altered the story slightly by moving it forward from the French Revolution to the Napoleonic Era. ''Orphans of the Storm'' is a 1921 American silent drama film by D. W. Griffith set in late-18th-century France, before and during the French Revolution. The last Griffith film to feature both Lillian and Dorothy Gish, it was a commercial failure, following box-office hits such as ''The Birth of a Nation'' and '' Broken Blossoms''. Like his earlier films, Griffith used historical events to comment on contemporary events, in this case the French Revolution to warn about the rise of Bolshevism. The film is about class conflict and a plea for inter-class understanding and against destructive hatred. At one point, in front of the Committee of Public Safety, a main character pleads, "Yes I am an aristocrat, but a friend of the people." Anna Maestri (7 January 1924 – 4 March 1988) was an Italian stage, film and television actress. Life and career Maestri was born in Mantua, the daughter of two stage actors. She formed at the Silvio d’Amico Academy of Dramatic Arts in Rome, and made her professional debut on stage in 1943 alongside Vittorio Gassman. After the war she worked several times with Luchino Visconti, Luigi Squarzina and with Giorgio Strehler at the Piccolo Teatro (Milan), Piccolo Teatro in Milan.
