''The Trousers'' (German: ''Die Hose'') is a 1927 Cinema of Germany, German silent film, silent comedy film directed by Hans Behrendt and starring Werner Krauss, Jenny Jugo and Rudolf Forster. It was based on a The Trousers (play), play by Carl Sternheim. Art direction was by Heinrich Richter and Franz Schroedter. Hans Behrendt (28 September 1889 – 1942) was a German-Jewish actor, screenwriter and film director. He was murdered by the Nazis in Auschwitz concentration camp in 1942.
