The Treatment (novel)
''The Treatment'' is a 2001 novel by British crime-writer Mo Hayder. The novel is based around the theme of pedophilia. It features her protagonist DI Jack Caffery. Plot A husband and wife are discovered imprisoned in their own home near Brockwell Park in South London. It is a hot summer and they are badly dehydrated. They have been bound and beaten, and the husband seems close to death. Rory Peach, their 8-year-old son, is missing. Detective Inspector (DI) Jack Caffery is one of the police team. The disappearance of the boy rekindles memories in Caffery of his brother Ewan, who was abducted as a 9-year-old and never seen again. Caffery tries to find the boy at the same time as helping his girlfriend cope with having been sexually assaulted. He follows clues that might allow him to find out Ewan's fate. ''The Gua Sha Treatment'' () is a Chinese movie released in 2001 starring Tony Leung Ka-Fai, Zhu Xu, and Jiang Wenli. It is a story about cultural conflicts experienced by a Chinese family in the United States. Plot Grandfather Xu (Zhu Xu) comes from China to visit the family of his son, Datong Xu (Tony Leung), in St. Louis. While there, he gives his grandson, Dennis Xu (Dennis Zhu), a treatment of Gua Sha to treat a slight fever (being unable to read English labels of medicine). Social workers, however, mistake the traditional Chinese medical treatment for child abuse due to the obvious marks left on Dennis' back. The Treatment (band)
The Treatment are an English hard rock band, which formed in Cambridge, England, in 2008. Previously, the band members had played together under the moniker, 'God Sacks Man'. In 2011 the band played at Sonisphere Festival on the Jägermeister stage. Later in 2011, a UK tour arranged by the Powerage record label featured The Treatment, alongside New Device, Lethargy and Million Dollar Reload. After the ''Medication For The Nation Tour'' in the United Kingdom in December 2011 the band went on tour in support of Alice Cooper, Steel Panther and Thin Lizzy. The first album ''"This Might Hurt"'' was released on 19 September on Universal Music Group and Spinefarm Records. ''A-Lex'' is the eleventh studio album by the Brazilian metal band Sepultura. It was released on January 23, 2009 by independent German record label SPV. This is the first album featuring drummer Jean Dolabella, since the departure of Igor Cavalera in 2006. This is the second concept album released by Sepultura, following 2006's ''Dante XXI'' which was based on Dante Alighieri's ''The Divine Comedy''.
