The Thin Line (TV Series)
The Thin Line is the ninth international co-production of MediaCorp TV and ntv7. This is also the first Malaysian TV series to be broadcast on MediaCorp Channel U when it debuted on 29 December 2010. The actual filming took place in August 2008 and the series was aired on ntv7 in Malaysia the following month. Zen Chong
Zen Chong (; born on 15 August 1978) is a Malaysian actor who is based in Singapore and contracted artiste under MediaCorp. Career Chong joined MediaCorp in 2001 after finishing third in that year's Malaysian edition of Star Search Singapore. One of his first major roles was in the 2003 sitcom ''Lobang King'' where he was cast alongside veteran artistes Chew Chor Meng, Huang Wenyong and Irene Ang as the smooth-talking employee of Huang's character. Chong is known for portraying juvenile " ah beng" characters, antiheroes and villains. He shot to fame for his role as a main antagonist in the hit period drama ''The Little Nyonya''. Although initially a replacement for Andrew Seow, he was praised for his convincing portrayal of antagonist Robert Zhang and won a Best Supporting Actor nomination at the 2009 Star Awards, his first ever awards nomination. Golden Awards
The Golden Awards (金视奖) was an award show presented by ntv7 to recognise excellence in the production and performance of Malaysian Chinese television before the channel's rebranding. The first awards show took place on 25 September 2010 at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre in Putrajaya and was hosted by Malaysian Cheryl Lee and Singaporean Bryan Wong. There are 19 awards which will be presented at the first annual awards show. These awards are divided into three categories, namely Drama, non-Drama and Viewers' Choice. The nominees for this awards show will be assessed by a judging panel consisting of experts within the Malaysian Chinese entertainment industry. Wang Yuqing
Tan Chooi Leong or better known as Wang Yuqing (, born 9 September 1961) is a Singaporean actor. Education Wang studied at Willow Avenue Secondary School. Career Prior to his acting career, Wang served out his NS days in the Aerodrome fire service. He was offered a contract by the Singapore Broadcasting Corporation (SBC) after completing the 3rd drama training course in 1982. Wang first acted in SBC's Army series before starring in SBC's earliest idol drama, ''The Flying Fish'', in 1983, which catapulted him to stardom. In 1988, Wang almost joined Hong Kong's TVB but decided against it, citing his poor grasp of Cantonese and reluctance to leave a stable environment. Initially he had left the industry in 1995 to concentrate on his second job as an insurance agent but returned to MediaCorp in 2000 as a freelancer at the persuasion of some friends.
