''The Telegraphist'' ( no, Telegrafisten) is a 1993 Norwegian film directed by Erik Gustavson. It is based on the novel '' Dreamers'' by Knut Hamsun. It stars Bjørn Floberg and Marie Richardson, as well as Kjersti Holmen, who won an Amanda for her role. The film was also entered into the 43rd Berlin International Film Festival. Erik Gustavson
Erik Gustavson is a Norwegian film director and producer. He started out as a camera assistant and eventually moved on to cameraman before starting to work as a director in 1981. He has directed seven feature films, including ''Herman'', ''The Telegraphist'' (an adaptation of Knut Hamsun's novel ''Dreamers''), and ''Sophieʼs World'', all three of which enjoyed multi market theatrical release. Bjørn Sundquist
Bjørn Richard Sundquist (born 16 June 1948) is a Norwegian actor, famous for TV, theatre, and movie roles. For many years he worked at Det Norske Teatret and Nationaltheateret in Oslo, and he is especially famous for the roles as Merlin and Hamlet. When he received the Honorary Amanda Award (Norway's answer to Oscar) in 2000, he became the youngest ever recipient of the greatest honor in Norwegian film. He was 52 at the time and only a few months younger than Liv Ullmann, who received the honorary award in 1992. He is of Sami heritage on his mother's side (a minority originating mainly from the northern parts of the Scandinavian peninsula often referred to as Sápmi). This is a list of submissions to the 66th Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film. Jon Eivind Gullord (born January 12, 1958) is a Norwegian actor. He has been engaged at the Norwegian Theater since 1985, when he debuted there in ''Romeo and Juliet''. Anna Maria Cecilia Bonnevie (born 26 September 1973) is a Swedish-Norwegian actress. She was born in Västerås, Sweden, but grew up in Oslo, Norway.
