''Sundown Trail'' is a 1931 American pre-Code Western film written and directed by Robert F. Hill and starring Tom Keene, Marion Shilling, Nick Stuart, Hooper Atchley and Stanley Blystone. It was released on September 11, 1931, by RKO Pictures. Her male co-stars liked to tease Marion Shilling during down time and frequently made her blush with their risque comments. "A bit later in my life when I became more hip, I thought of some great comebacks, but as with so many marvelous afterthoughts, it was too late, alas, too late." They also laughed together about their director, who they dubbed "Bring 'Em Back Alive." "Immaculately groomed, he wore riding pants and pith helmet, and everything he said was with emphasis. His booming voice and the way he dashed about left no doubt to onlookers as to who was directing the picture," Shilling said. Carl Stockdale also known as Carlton Stockdale (February 19, 1874 – March 15, 1953) was one of the longest-working Hollywood veteran actors, with a career dating from the early 1910s. He also made the difficult transition from silent films to talkies. Stockdale was born in Worthington, Minnesota, graduated from Minneapolis Central High School, and attended the University of North Dakota. Before he began working with films, Stockdale was a property man with a repertory theatrical company headed by his brother. He went on to act on stage in repertory theater and in vaudeville. Stockdale was in Hollywood as early as 1913 with a small role in Gilbert M. Anderson's ''Broncho Billy's Last Deed''. He worked with that film franchise for two years before joining D. W. Griffith's film company. He remained busy into the 1940s. His last film was released in 1943. Beatrice Dominguez
Beatrice Dominguez (born Beatriz Dominguez, and often billed as "La Bella Sevilla"; 6 September 1896 – 27 February 1921) was a Mexican-American actress and dancer who was active in Hollywood during the silent era. Biography Beatrice was born in either San Bernardino, California, or Chihuahua, Mexico, to José Dominguez and Petra Valencia. In any case, Beatrice spent most of her childhood in Southern California, and as a teenager, she became an entertainer in Los Angeles. Acclaimed for her work as a dancer, she soon garnered roles in a wide range of Hollywood films, including a memorable tango performance with Rudolph Valentino in '' The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse'' (1921). While filming the film ''The White Horseman'' in 1921, she suffered a ruptured appendix and was rushed to Clara Barton Hospital. Two operations could not save her, and she died at age 24.
